of Industry, CA - January 31, 2001 - Sceptre Technologies, Inc., introduces their second generation of the Slim PC, the
Slim Soundx PC II.
This pocket-sized PC is everything you expect from a desktop PC, except it is so much smaller!
Now you can carry all of your data with you anywhere you go!
With a weight of approximately 2.1 pounds, the Slim Soundx PC II serves as a fully functional
portable desktop computer. It is compatible with all display monitors, from your traditional
CRT monitors to your ultra-thin LCD monitors. In addition, the Slim Soundx PC II comes with
television ports which can turn your television set into a computer monitor.
The Slim Soundx PC II is powered by Intel Pentium III or Intel Celeron processors with bus frequencies
at 66 MHz, 100 MHz, and 133 MHz. It also contains upgradability of up to 256 MB SDRAM, built-in
Intel 82810E full motion video accelerator, 4 MB video card which supports up to 1080 x 1024 pixel resolution
at 24 bits per pixel, hardware motion compensation for software MPEG2 at 30 frames per second,
16-bit full duplex 3-D stereo (Sound Blaster / Adlib compatible), and an optional DVD-Rom or CD-RW.
The Slim Soundx PC II also has a built-in 10/100 base-T Ethernet, 56K V.90 modem,
as well as IrDA (Infrared Data Association) devices which provide walk-up, point-to-point
methods of data transfer that is adaptable to a broad range of computing and communication devices.
