City of Industry, CA - Sceptre Technologies, Inc. today announced their latest addition to their extensive LCD lines, the CT series. Sceptre's slim Business Professional Series Line just got bigger. Bigger in the sense of screen size that is! There is no doubt about the appeal of an LCD monitor for desktop use, but at only 11.45 pounds and under three inches thin, the CT17 monitors are a pleasant upgrade from their already popular CT15 monitors. As with their smaller version, the CT17's come in white and gray. The CT17's allow for laser-crisp text with a 1280 x 1024 resolution range. As with the CT15's, the monitor comes with amplified stereo speakers and includes an earphone jack for personal enjoyment. The brightness of this unit is at 170 nit (cd/m2) and contains a contrast ratio of 200:1. The viewing angle is at +/-80o (horizontal) and +/-80o (vertical). Flicker and static free, as well as less consumption (30 - 70% less) is also standard features on the CT17's. The unit is detachable with an Ergotron Arm capability. A scanning frequency of 24 - 80 kHz (horizontal) and 56 - 75 Hz (vertical) is provided. With a street price of $1599 for their white model (CT17W) and $1699 for their gray model (CT17G), Sceptre feels they have once again, stayed competitive with their pricing without sacrificing their product's performance. In fact, Sceptre is so confident that they provide an excellent 3-year warranty.
