Sceptre Unveils Its New, Ultra Thin, High Performance, Soundx 7300 Notebook

City of Industry, CA - October 20, 2000 - Committed to providing unparalleled products along with world-class service, Sceptre Technologies, Inc. unveils its new stunning metallic blue, ultra thin S7300 notebook.  The new Soundx 7300 is equipped with Intel Pentium III 450 / 750 Mhz or Intel Celeron 450 / 700 MHz processors, which gives notebook users stellar performance that is comparable to the speed of a desktop system.

According to Stephen Liu, President/CEO, Sceptre Technologies, Inc., "Mobile users are not only keen on technology, but they also have a flair for style; and we have just what they are looking for -- an elegant ultra slim notebook that delivers startling performance." With a standard 64MB SDRAM on-board (up to 320) , a 6GB Ultra DMA/33 Hard Disk Drive (up to 30GB), and PCI Bus Master Enhanced IDE, the S7300 starts at an unbelievable price of $1899.  Not only is the S7300 convenient and lightweight, but notebook users will surely appreciate its uncompromising performance.

Without the base and battery, the S7300 weights a mere 3.6 lbs. Indeed, the notebook is less than an inch thick, and despite its lightness, consumers should not be fooled into thinking that Sceptre has sacrificed features in exchange for portability.  Stephen Liu, President/CEO explains, "Sceptre's R & D team developed the notebook that is streamlined in technology and attractive in its packaging.  Technology experts will surely be impressed with its detachable base -- allowing the user to reconfigure the S7300 for his or her ever changing needs on the go."

The new feature of the S7300 is its optional ultra-base which serves as a base ergonomically designed to accommodate all the amenities required by the user, such as a DVD/CD-ROM, a Floppy Disk Drive, Mini PCI port for network capabilities, USB Port, Fire Wire Port, and Kensington lock port.  Unlike a traditional notebook, the user has the option to attach or detach the base, making it desktop equipped or ultra-portable.

At a street price of $1899.00, the S7300 features a 13.3" XGA TFT LCD display with an ATI Mobility-M1 2X AGP card with 8MB of VRAM, which supports up to 1024x768 in 24-bit true color that delivers the brightest, sharpest graphics, images, and text.  The S7300 is also equipped with Crystal 4281 PCI Audio, built-in microphone and two speakers, compatible with Sound Blaster & Sound Blaster Pro to give users the ultimate sound experience.
