Sceptre Technologies Unveils New
Two-Tone 18" Flat Panel Monitor

City of Industry, CA - Sceptre Technologies, Inc. one of the largest manufacturers of CRT monitors, LCD flat panels and Pentium notebook computers in the world - is now the first to offer an 18" flat panel monitor with a striking new two-tone casing. 

For an introductory period, Sceptre will be offering its BT18 for only $1999 (after rebate). This is a saving of $1000 over similar, competitors' models. According to Stephen Liu, President/CEO of Sceptre Technologies, "We've always been proud of our ability to produce high quality LCD flat panel monitors. With the BT18 we are now able to take things a step further by providing not only a more stylish design with a comfortable feel, but a great deal of value as well." 

The BT18 flat panel monitor displays feature 16.7 million colors (depending upon display card) at a 1280 x 1024 resolution and feature a 140° ( viewing angle. The contrast ratio of 150 to 1 produces a sharp image along with the versatility of a dual-color design. This new charcoal gray/off-white color combination will allow customers to be able to match the unit with their current laptop or desktop system, while increasing overall desktop real estate with its slim, lightweight design. In fact, The BT18 is so space saving that it actually takes up 70% less space than a regular tube monitor at 1/3 the power, and generates less heat overall. The BT18 is compliant with the VESA standard mounting interface, a free-mount type which is designed so that the unit can be attached to an arm or hung on a wall for additional workspace. It features a power saving function which makes it possible for the user to extend the backlight life and, in addition, like all of Sceptre's LCD products the BT18 is lock (Kensington Lock) ready to ensure security for its owner's peace of mind.

The new BT18 flat panel monitor will be available on the end of March with 3-color choices available: two-tone, charcoal gray and off-white.
