Pros: This
monitor came with no dead pixels. It has great contrast and is very
bright. The price is very reasonable for what you get and I would
strongly recommend it. Everything is clear and I have not noticed any
ghosting while gaming.
Cons: Does
not come with a DVI cable. It does come with a VGA cable although I
would recommend using DVI. Extra 10 dollar expense was well worth it.

Pros:
Everything, period. I remember paying close to $400 in 1995 for a high
end 15 inch Philips crt monitor. Do not pass on this if you need a
monitor or two. Very good quality. My old LCD caused eye strain, this
one does not . A+++++ No other words, i am speechless.
Cons: No DVI
cable, no big deal. UPS did not want to leave this on my front steps,
had to sign a card they left for them to leave the LCD the next day.
Other Thoughts:
stand does not adjust for height. Just the angle of the lcd, see
pictures of product. Great LCD.

Avoid
Pros: 1080p
HDMI, DVI port
Cons: Muddy
black/dark colors... lifespan, bad capacitors generate an electrical
whine even when it is turned off. I have to unplug it to make it stop.
Other Thoughts:
before i bought this i looked at the reviews and they were mixed. Some
liked it while others liked it until it broke. So i went ahead and
bought one expecting to get one that would work for atleast a year, and
3-4 months later it has finally died. I used it for my computer and the
DVi port died within a month, then i switched over to only using it on
my PS3 on the HDMI port, but that has finally died too. The RMA process
is the worse i have ever dealt with. Avoid this monitor please, and save
yourself a headache.

Great
Product
Pros: No
noticable Ghosting. At its native resolution small text (6pt) is
readable once cleartype has been enabled. Rear mounting of buttons makes
for a clean front bezel.
Cons: Display
looked rather shoddy on first power-on, had to run the tuning wizard
that came with my video card as well as enable Microsoft ClearType by
hand. Rear mounting of buttons makes it awkward to change settings at
times, but gets better once the positioning of buttons has been learned.
Warranty void if transported in anything but the original packaging?
Rather difficult to assemble the monitor into the base, I don't look
forward to disassembly when I transport it...

Pros: Very
fast response time. Very high contrast ratio. HDCP and 1080p compatible
Cons: No DVI

Other Thoughts:
Any DVI problems you might experience can be solved by clicking on the
"Troubleshooting DVI problems" link at PlayTool.com. Using DVI is not
necessarily as simple as plugging in a toaster. Most unsolved DVI
problems result from lack of knowledge.

Pros: Unboxed

Cons: The

The 2nd most important thing of the whole monitor (power supply) was
junk. So were the backlights. Switching to ACER 5ms 22in. Comp specs:

Great
Monitor - See "Other Thoughts" for Solutions to Your DVI Problems
Pros:
Excellent contrast ratio and response time.
Cons: Does
not ship with DVI cables.
Other Thoughts:
Here is a link to self-help troubleshooting of just about any DVI
problem you may encounter. About the only problem not covered would be a
case in which your monitor and/or graphics card are in an environment
that causes overheating. One of the problems described at the above link
is more likely to be the cause of your DVI problems.

Pros: This
monitor is beautiful when performing. Great quality and awesome refresh
rate witht he DVI input.
Cons: DVI
dies within 3 weeks. VGA is not as good as other Monitors in its class.
Other Thoughts:
I purchased this Monitor from Newegg and exactly three weeks after the
purchase the DVI port crashed. I Paid to ship it back to newegg and got
it replaced. Exactly three weeks from the arrival of my replacement the
DVI went dead again. Manufacturer claims that the problem is with my
video card and wont replace even though I tried it on several different
systems with cards ranging from ATI to Nvidia chips. Save your cash and
spend it on something better.

Good
Specs and Good Test Results
Pros:
Excellent contrast ratio, exceptionally fast response time, HDCP and
Windows Vista compatible. HDMI compatibility is achievable via a simple,
separately purchased HDMI to DVI adapter. Scored 100 percent on all
Fix-It Utilities Professional 6 monitor tests.
Cons: Ships
with a VGA cable only. DVI cable must be purchased separately.
Other Thoughts:
Best combination of specs in its price range. (Compared with monitors
costing $300 or less.)

Make

Pros: I cant
believe my eyes! So big! The contrast is my favorite thing about this
monitor. I have two other lcd monitors that are 1000:1 and those don't
compare! This one is bright and amazingly clear and crisp.
Cons: Two
dead pixels. You have to seriously be nose to nose to see them they are
so small.
Other Thoughts:
I laugh (hard) sometimes thinking someone bought a more expensive, worse
looking monitor. Sadly, I used to be one of them. Also, I cant stay away

Pros: Looks

Cons: This is

DVI port would not work at all. On the second monitor, the DVI port
worked for about 10 minutes Before going out. Something inside is making
a loud rattling noise when using.

WOW!!
Pros: This is
am Awesome monitor, coming from a 18in from 2002, this was a much needed
upgrade. I am so pleased with it that I would easily buy another! I have
shopped long and hard to come to find out that, at this price, a 2000:1
contrast ratio combined with a 300cd/m2 brightness is AMAZING! I have
bought a couple of other Sceptre monitors for work and I am very pleased
with them too!
Cons: There
is a couple downfalls though. First, the stand is VERY stationary with
very little options for adjustment. But that is an easy fix with a
monitor arm. The second complaint is it does not have a HDMI or
Component input. (and yes, I know I could have shelled out a little more
and gotten the "gamer Sceptre")
Other Thoughts:
Overall, I would have liked a better stand but other than that, this is
a great monitor and Kick *** product!

Pros: Very
very very bright to the point where I currently have the screens
brightness at 25% instead of 100. Wow talk about clarity! Great for
gaming, watching movies, video/photo editing, anything you could ever
want a good picture on this is your monitor for you.
Cons:
Couldn't find any dead pixels. I am sure they are there, just not going
to hunt for them (they will bother me). Stands a little flimsy and
short. Going to purchase a taller monitor stand that will hold BOTH of
them. One of the two monitors I purchased just started making a lower
pitched low frequency noise. Seems to have gone away. Other than that
these screens are GREAT!
Other Thoughts:
I work with a lot of different monitors, (17" - 42") I purchased TWO of
these for my home setup. I think if I were to spend the money all over
again I would just buy one BIG monitor, but I am also starting to enjoy
the dual screens a lot more than when I first got them. Overall these
screens are a great, especially for the price.

Avoid
This!
Pros: Well it
is still in working condition. I have not had mine for 6 months yet, but
I am assuming that the DVI port will eventually go out. This would be a
great monitor but the quality is so poor. Great color and contrast
ratio.
Cons: I have
one blue stuck pixel dead in the center of the screen. The unit itself
constantly buzzes and makes hissing noises. This is getting worse. I
have a feeling it wont last much longer.
Other Thoughts:
From reading other reviews I am definately considering not even RMA'ing
this piece. Spend 20 more and get something more reputable, like an
Ac**.

What
a Deal!!
Pros: 2000 to
1 contrast ratio makes sure blacks are black and colors are vivid. Very
bright and clear, and piano black reflective finish makes it pop No
ghosting or dead pixels found at all
Cons: dosent
come with a dvi cord or remote. Isnt as clear as some of samsungs clear
view screens.
Other Thoughts:
Im running this off of an x1900gt with dvi and it performs great.
Widescreen does push the video card a little more than my crt monitor
did, and had to lower some settings in bf2/call of duty 2 in order to
have smooth gameplay. Native resolution is 1680x1050 which dosent
compare to the 1600x1200 of my crt, however is way good for a lcd
especially in this price range. A must buy

Super
bright - um - junk?!
Pros: Super
bright - wear sunglasses... Sceptre tech support picked up in like 3
rings...AMAZING
Cons:
Blurrier than my vision on a Saturday night (on DVI) - lots of
resolution options that all look bad. Tried on Nvidia 8800gts and on ATI
x1900gt - only worked on vga-dsub on ati and flickered on and off with
the dvi. HORIBLE STAND - Hope you have strong hands or a pair of vice
grips to remove the base.
Other Thoughts:
I am an avid gamer - don't be suckered by the 2ms response time - its
not worth the headache. I am back to my 21inch CRT and at least it looks
good and works. Will return this for a other brand... Yeehaa!

I
got lucky?
Pros: I guess
i got lucky cause my dvi port lasted 6 months almost exactly. 6 months
is better than 2 months with the dvi working but there should be no
problem at all. I'm using an hdmi to dvi connector and hopefully that
doesnt fail also.
Cons: The
stand is terrible, i replaced it with a neo flex but threw out the old
stand. Now i can't rma it. If the hdmi goes out then i have to toss it.
The Vga output is useless for text.
Other Thoughts:
Newegg should really stop selling these. If a car model had this many
defects it would be canned.

How
to RMA
Pros: How to
RMA: 1) Fill out an RMA form. 2) FAX it to the FAX number listed on the
RMA form. 3) When you get the email with the RMA number, took less than
an hour for the two monitors I have returned. 4) Pack it in the box it
came in and send it to them using the instructions on the RMA form. Just
give a decent description of the issue.
Cons: The DVI
port went out in about 3 months time on both of the monitors I
purchased.
Other Thoughts:
Don't call them, just use the fax number and complete the RMA form as
good as you can with a good description of the problem and any testing
you did to make sure the monitor was the issue.

Cons: At

Much
bigger than anticipated
Pros: Very
readable when you use DVI. Resolution is expandable to 1920x1080 (only
on DVI), at the cost of some text clarity. This thing looked like a
monster when I first got it, but now I'm more accustomed to the size,
plus I'm able to put it farther away (a good 2 feet at least), and still
be able to read it.
Cons:
Unadjustable stand, and very high placed at that. Wall mounting
recommended if possible, unless your desk is almost as low as your
chair. I ended up putting a <1inch book underneath the back of the
stand, and that seems to do the trick. I also experienced some ghosting
with this monitor; well worth the high contrast ratio and size, and for
the price, something I can live with. Basically just a white halo around
moving objects ingame; you might look for a different monitor if you
absolutely don't want ghosting.
Other Thoughts:
The stand is light, yes, but is also fairly large. Shouldn't be a
stability problem for the vast majority of setups.

this!!!!
Pros: ITS a
LCD> its big its kool its attractive. it carries the sceptre name. its
22 inch fast as all get out widescreen lcd.. lol that is a pro for
gaming!!
Cons: made
much cheaper then the 8 others 20.5 x20 x9 etc.. this was the x22. I am
hoping I just had a bad one but.. 2 of my 19s had dead pixels, this 22
has a bright one .. should say did. it failed awfully upon a boot up.
vertical lines etc.. I suspect the cheapshipping box they went to. lets
it take abuse. although there were no signs.. hmmm.. It doesnt have the
sceptre light on front that i have grown to love. buttons are on side
and not as easy to use. gets rather hot too. errr it did. lol. All
others work fantastic. I really do HATE DEAD PIXELS
Other Thoughts:
READ THIS!!! I wrote an email explaining my concern and I recieved a
call back in less then five minutes and had a concerend rep set up a
replacement right away. NO HASSLE other then making me use my credit
card for security when they retail for half that on new egg. "thats the

It
makes me happy
Pros: You
can't beat the stats for the price, but the manufacture has to cut out
some place. When running accelerated graphics the screens look great and
they also handle fonts just fine. Over all I am impressed with the image
quality.
Cons: Not
sure if its the monitors fault, but standard Desktops seem a bit jerky
both in X and Windows. Accelerated desktops liek XGL and OS X are smooth
as can be though. Each one came with a dead pixel one green the other
with two red both in fairly ignorable spots. I get around them by
setting up my backgrounds to avoid the color showing up. can get
annoying when playing games, but lets be fair 1680x1050 and only one is
dead. I can live with that.
Other Thoughts:
Buttons on the back is not very helpful when you have two of them side
by side as I have to reach over the monitors to turn them off. Stand is
not adjustable which is a joke, but hey two monitors for roughly 500 who
is going to complain if they make you happy from day to day.

Pros: This
thing looks great when I connect it on my 360 via VGA. High contrast

Cons: Even

Awesome!
Pros: Very
big monitor, and it's great for a Graphic Designer and Gamer all
together. With it's high Contrast Ratio and quick Response Time, all
aspects of computer usage will be covered.
Cons: One
dead pixel, which is not a big deal as it's way off to the right of my
monitor where my eyes hardly ever focus.
Other Thoughts:
It looks like Sceptre took out the glow from their logo on the front of
the monitor, which is okay I guess. I guess they did that because it
bothered so many people... I will definitely be buying a second one here
in the near future as I would love to have two of these beauties running

Not
bad
Pros: Cheap
that is for sure. For 1080p not bad on the price. WOW its bright i might
need shades. Bleeding of colors is not bad either.
Cons: One
thing i dont like is that you cant reduce brightness in vga i dont know
why. Im not using DVI do to reviews of it going bad after a few months.
Only other thing is the bands but i only see them when i really using a
black screen on something.
Other Thoughts:
No problems so far with this monitor. Very good easy set up. Newegg
excelent job in shipping with UPS a team. If this monitor doesnt give me
any problems i might buy more. I have a 4 monitor video card and 3 slots
are empty, long as this keeps up i might buy 3 more. Cant comment on the
