You might be running at 32 bit
colors on the screen settings. By factory default
settings, DVD or VCD can only be played at screen
resolution of 1400 * 1050 at 16 bit colors only!
So, to play DVD or VCD, change your screen setting to this setting :
1400 * 1050 at 16 bit colors

Your
Suspend to Disk file is missing. Need to create the file
using PHDisk. You can click to download the file
here : Phdisk.Exe
Copy
this file to a bootable diskette. Boot up from
Drive A and tun Phdisk
C:>
phdisk
Select
"Create File" options and accept default file
size. The Suspend to Disk file will be created.
Select "Exit".
