LT/PT/X Series LCD Monitor Warranty Policy

The foregoing warranty is exclusively and hereby supersedes all other warranties, with the exception of any warranties required and or implied by Federal Law or State Law as limited and varying from State to State. Sceptre Technologies, Inc. warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship and agrees to repair or replace those parts which prove defective, by a Certified Sceptre Technician, under the following terms and conditions.

Coverage Limitation

  1. This warranty is only valid for the original purchaser, and is not transferable thereafter.
  2. Limited One (1) Year Parts and One (1) Year Labor Warranty. Within a period of One (1) Year from the original date of purchase, Sceptre will repair or replace all parts found to be defective free of charge, with the exclusion of the terms set-forth in item # 6, under warranty conditions below. In the event that the product required for replacement is no longer in production and/or is obsolete, Sceptre will repair the unit with similar or like parts of equal value. If a similar or like part is not available, a charge may be incurred to the owner, for any upgraded part substituted.

Warranty Conditions
The above limited warranty is subject to the following conditions:

  1. Sceptre warrants the product free from defects in material or workmanship under normal operation.
  2. Defects warranted by Sceptre are as follows: Defects which occur during normal operation; the warranty does not extend to damage caused by attempted repair by anyone other than a certified Sceptre Technician, damage due to alteration by the end user, faulty installation, damage to parts and/or products due to abuse, misuse, accident, improper maintenance, mishandling or use in violation of user instructions as furnished by Sceptre, damage due to improper packaging in shipment or any natural acts of God.
  3. Warranties can only be honored if the product is purchased and send back for repair form within the U.S.A. and Canada separate terms and conditions apply internationally.
  4. Any replacement parts furnished at no cost to the purchaser in fulfillment of this warranty are warranted only for the unexpired portion of the original warranty. Any service or repair provided outside the scope of this limited warranty shall be at SCEPTRE rates and terms then in effect.
  5. Under no circumstances is Sceptre obligated or responsible, under its terms of warranty, for any hardware, components and software bundled with its original product, Software or otherwise. In addition, Sceptre is not liable for warranty on any unit that has been damaged as direct or indirect result of Buyers' "Value Added Feature."
  6. LCD exclusion: Sceptre does not warrant burned pixels on any and or all LCD displays.
  7. NORMAL "WEAR AND TEAR" ARE NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. FURTHER, SCEPTRE TECHNOLOGIES HEREBY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DETERMINE "WEAR AND TEAR" ON ANY AND ALL PRODUCTS.
  8. SCEPTRE is not responsible for damages of any kind including, but not limited to, direct or indirect damages, lost profits, lost savings, or other special incidental, exemplary or consequential damages whether for breach of contract, tort or otherwise, or whether arising out of the use of or inability to use the product, even if SCEPTRE TECHNOLOGIES, INC. or any dealer, distributor or authorized service provider/partner has been advised or the possibility of such damages, or any claim by any other party.

To Obtain Warranty Service, please follow instructions below:

  1. Owners' registration card must be completed and returned with proof of purchase to Sceptre within seven (7) days of receipt of your monitor. Only the original serialized warranty card and original registered name on the card will be eligible for coverage under this policy and entitled to the benefits offered herein.
  2. Contact the Customer Service Department at Sceptre (800) 788-2878 Monday through Friday 8:30 to 5:30 Pacific Coast Time to determine the nature of the problem. If product needs to be returned for repair, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number will be issued. Sceptre will not accept any returned products without an RMA number.
  3. The following guideline apply when shipping a monitor for repair:
    a. Include the bill of sale or purchase, your name, address, and the RMA number.
    b. All products being returned for warranty service must be carefully packed in a sturdy box with sufficient packing materials and sent freight prepaid
    c. All components, documentation and accessories must be included.
    d. The RMA# must be clearly printed on the shipping label (not on the box). Postage, insurance, and/or shipping costs incurred in returning equipment for warranty service are your responsibility. If product test "Good," without defect return postage is the responsibility of the registered owner.
  4. Sceptre Technologies, Inc., is not responsible or liable, for missing components or damage to the unit caused by any shipping to or from any Authorized Sceptre Service Center. All claims or damage should be directed to the appropriate shipping carrier.

TAMPERING OR OPENING THE PLASTIC CASE, WILL VOID THIS WARRANTY IN ITS ENTIRELY.
