This is my second Sceptre television. I had purchased a 24" about 18 months ago and it worked flawlessly. This 40" UHD television was shipped to me with no damage. The picture is excellent although I have yet to try a 4k video. If you want to have good quality and save some money then go with Sceptre.

Nice TV!

I really like the look of this TV. It may be the 4k wow factor, but even 1080p video looks better on this 4K tV than it did on my 1080p TV. Plenty of inputs for all of your TV needs. The only complaint I have, and it is a very small one, is there is no ability to custom label the inputs. It has options for ps3, ps4 xbox one etc, but no custom label naming. Very small issue and not worth removing a star for.

Love 'em

Does everything I think I could want except being a "smart tv" but I didn't need that for my use. Best buy ($250) in TVs as far as I am concerned. You can believe this or not but we have 3 of these. Two are computer monitors and the other is in the bedroom.

Cheapest option for a totally solid PC monitor

I got this TV to use expressly as an oversized monitor for my PC. I literally live on my computer, and as a self-proclaimed Power User and geek, I have horrible habits like: keeping 5 Chrome windows each with 30 tabs open at the same time, including multiple queued-up Youtube videos and articles saved for later and coding documentation, along with file explorer windows, Evernote, Spotify, Discord chat, and usually a programming IDE or two. I realized having a 4K display at 40" or larger would end up having the same DPI as my previous setup, which was dual 24" 1080p monitors, but giving me a ton more space overall and basically be equivalent to having 4 x 1080p monitors without bezels to work with.

Turns out 4k TV's are much more plentiful and thus cheaper than most monitors (made specifically for PC's usage) so I searched exhaustively for one that would actually work well for general computing. This can be dangerous territory, as TV's usually differ in a few small annoying details that can make them less than perfect for using as a monitor.

Well, I finally settled on this one due to being probably the cheapest possible option. I'm happy to report I'm impressed with it overall, and especially for the price, it performs excellently for hooking up to a computer.

It's pretty basic as far as the display goes. Plenty bright (actually a bit too bright, I turned it down in settings), colors look good, and text readability is just fine. I'm not a text-o-phile though, and I should bring up the important point of the chroma value. When evaluating a 4k TV for use as a monitor, most sites will tell you to look for one that supports a 4:4:4 pixel chroma. It's hard to know this for a given TV though because it's usually not mentioned in the specs. I thought I saw somewhere that this model DID do 4:4:4, but upon investigation I can say it almost certainly does NOT. Looking at the picture that's th

I bought this 4K UHD TV from Walmart, I have had for 1 week, the picture is vibrant, I have a 4K Roku Stick and it‘s streaming flawlessly, I also added a sound bar, it‘s working perfectly for Me, I have no complaints, and Love the price, great buy.

Happy, Happy.

Replaced a 32" Samsung (10 yrs old) with this 40", and fits in the same spot in my motorhome. lots less frame and more screen. Have to find the owner manual somewhere, as all the plugs and wires are different. Don't have satellite service yet, so can't comment on the picture. I'm sure it's very nice. Weighs about 1/4 of the old set, also.
