I bought this tv for my two year old daughter and I am more than thrilled with this purchase. It was packaged well, extremely easy to put together (four screws connecting the neck to the base), and even more easy to set up. I bought this to use only for DVDs and the DVD player works the way it's supposed to, and a small detail I love most about it is that if you turn the tv off while watching a movie, when you press the red power button on top, the tv turns on and resumes playing where you left off without having to press any other buttons, which is GREAT for a two year old! She can turn her tv on and watch her movie without bothering me, score! I give this tv 5 stars and highly recommend it!

Well priced perfect size item...

Crisp clear picture in a nice lightweight package. Bought it with the swingarm bracket mount for use in my office so it can be pushed back out of the way when not in use... perfect size for such use. Sound is clear and the remote is laid out well for ease of use. Used it in my kitchen before taking it to the office and it is a great size for under the cabinet mounting. Very happy with my purchase and I would recommend this item.

Camp TV&DVD

I bought this specific TV & DVD combo to use for camping and travel. I wanted something relatively small (19"), lightweight, integral DVD player, remote control, and decent picture quality. This model fits the bill very well. The only reason that I do not give it 5 stars is that the remote control is rather unhandy to use for the DVD part of the device. The buttons are very small and not labeled well. I need to put on reading glasses to identify which button does what. Other than the RC issue, the device fits the need very well. If I were to shop for another TV like this, I would try to examine the RC before purchasing to see how that is configured.

Great picture, poor

The picture quality is great. However, the sound is poor. After the sound gets to a certain point, it doesn't get any louder. And it sounds tinny - like it's in a tin can. I wish I could give this a higher rating, but the lack of sound quality prevents that.

Q:The video card driver is not up to date, how can I fix this? ?
A:

  1. Find out what card you have by going into the Display Settings of your Operating System.  You will be able to see your video card name.
  2. Most video cards are from two companies, nVidia and AMD (formally ATI). You will need to download the latest driver to update your card. Here are the links:

    • nVidia: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

    • AMD (formally ATI):  http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx

    • Note: If your video card is not from nVidia, please search for the card on Google (www.google.com) or  visit www.sceptre.com for additional technical support and Live Chat with Customer Tech Support.

  3. Download the newest driver and remove the old driver from the system.  You will also need to remove the plug and play detected monitor driver.
  4. Reboot your computer and install the newest video card driver.
  5. You will need to reboot an additional time (reboot twice) for the system to detect the monitor, then you can adjust the monitor resolution.
