Great for the bedroom

I purchased this as a bedroom HDTV and with the DVD PLAYER it really comes in handy for any small children who would rather watch their favorite movie over and over and over again.It has a great picture and is very easy to set up so it‘s just a great product that comes in so handy and I even used it as a stand in for our big screen television while it had some service done.

Not too bad for the price

It works well in our camper. My children can work it. The only downfall is that it is pretty loud and some times a little slow when you press the DVD menu button. Besides that it works awesome. Great picture quality and good sound!

Great Cabin TV

Bought the E243BD for our get away cabin, and it works great. Especially enjoy the built in DVD player. That it would be too small but it actually turned out to be perfect for watching in those evening hours. Nice job Sceptre!

Great little TV for my Home Gym

23" with DVD player

This is the 2nd Sceptre TV that I own. I love the LED look. Even in STD Def mode the picture is sharp. This TV lacks the audio output jacks like my 40" Sceptre has. I have it in my guest room/computer room so I am sitting close to the TV and sound volume is fine for my use. Having a combo TV/DVD player is a plus. The sale price from Sceptre was under $100, how can you go wrong. The USB port will read up to 2 GB mp3‘s. I don‘t have anything that small so I can not try it. I will attach a streaming media player to it for that propose. the stand is a little flimsy and shaky. One of the pluses is they marked the front bezel the buttons on the side. It‘s a small thing but it gets my attention. this would be a great addition to a kids room, guest room or just a portable TV to put on the patio and watch a DVD or Over the air TV.

Good TV. Convenient, great value.

Good TV and a great value. Built in DVD means you don't need a separate DVD player with the extra space it takes up and no extra wires and clutter. Has 2 HDMI inputs, which is nice too. 720p is fine with a 19" screen. All in all a great TV for a bedroom. If you have rooms without cable you can use it with a Fire Stick, etc or just watch DVD's. I used it with an indoor antenna and got 2 network tv stations and a few public tv stations. Very convenient!

Q:The video card driver is not up to date, how can I fix this? ?
A:

  1. Find out what card you have by going into the Display Settings of your Operating System.  You will be able to see your video card name.
  2. Most video cards are from two companies, nVidia and AMD (formally ATI). You will need to download the latest driver to update your card. Here are the links:

    • nVidia: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

    • AMD (formally ATI):  http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx

    • Note: If your video card is not from nVidia, please search for the card on Google (www.google.com) or  visit www.sceptre.com for additional technical support and Live Chat with Customer Tech Support.

  3. Download the newest driver and remove the old driver from the system.  You will also need to remove the plug and play detected monitor driver.
  4. Reboot your computer and install the newest video card driver.
  5. You will need to reboot an additional time (reboot twice) for the system to detect the monitor, then you can adjust the monitor resolution.
