Great Features for the Price

I bought this a week ago and the TV is doing great,and the Features are very good for the price. I will know more about how it performs when I play XBOX or watch a Blu-Ray movie and put the TV to a tougher test.

TV was easy to set up. ATT U-verse tech had no problem synchronizing their remote to the Sceptre.

Best 40" set form the price!

I‘ve had this set for two days now and I‘m very impressed with it. The color is great, and has a better set of adjustments than most. The only thing that would be nice is if the USB would accommodate MP4 video instead of just JPEG and MP3 audio. The only error I found is that the manual states that the set does not have a QAM tuner. Well guess what? When I scanned my cable, I got about 35 digital channels without a box.

Withstanding the test of time!

I‘ve had this TV for 3+ years and I have to say that I‘m pleasantly surprised with its ability to withstand the stresses of moving 3 times and being jostled about in day to day life. Great picture. Sturdy and easy to manipulate. Well worth it.

Excellent Product $ Value

Had a 32" Sceptre 6 years ago for 4 years with no issues. I moved and donated it to a friend ( tv still working ). I moved back from abroad and unfortunately I went to Costco and bought a Vizeo which failed in less than 6 months. I bought this Sceptre to use until my " brand X " can be replaced ( was told it would be 3 weeks ). I can safely say, that not buying another Sceptre right from the beginning was a huge mistake. Going forward, I will stick with this brand.

Purchased after much research

I purchased the tv from Walmart and just recently installed it. It was one of the easiest to set up. The menu walked you through the process. The picture and sound are superb. I did download the complete manual to have it available if and when needed. I am not a great electronics person. but this made me feel as if I was. Thanks fora great product.

Very user friendly!

We purchased this TV on Walmart.com. We did do research on it and found this to be one of the best values and user friendly TVs on the market! Exceptional!! Great TV!

We bought this tv a month ago, and couldn‘t be more pleased! We bought it on sale, and couldn‘t believe all the features that came with it, especially for the price. We like that we‘re able to get to the input & output ports pretty easy, especially, since we have it on the wall. The picture is EXCEPTIONAL We bought a 46‘ Sceptre, on sale from Costco, about 6 yrs ago, when we had never heard of the name "Sceptre"t, & have been very pleased with it. I don‘t think you can go wrong purchasing this tv. It‘s great, especially for the price.

Q:The video card driver is not up to date, how can I fix this? ?
A:

  1. Find out what card you have by going into the Display Settings of your Operating System.  You will be able to see your video card name.
  2. Most video cards are from two companies, nVidia and AMD (formally ATI). You will need to download the latest driver to update your card. Here are the links:

    • nVidia: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

    • AMD (formally ATI):  http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx

    • Note: If your video card is not from nVidia, please search for the card on Google (www.google.com) or  visit www.sceptre.com for additional technical support and Live Chat with Customer Tech Support.

  3. Download the newest driver and remove the old driver from the system.  You will also need to remove the plug and play detected monitor driver.
  4. Reboot your computer and install the newest video card driver.
  5. You will need to reboot an additional time (reboot twice) for the system to detect the monitor, then you can adjust the monitor resolution.
