Sceptre 27" LED Monitor
I previously had a 27" ASUS monitor. I accidently broke the monitor and needed a replacement. I hopped on Amazon.com and began my search for another 27" monitor. I was very surprised when I came across the Sceptre 27" LED monitor for $134.99. It was the cheapest price I could find for everything I needed. I thought I would be disappointed with the product because it was so cheap. Man, I was wrong! I placed the order and when it arrived, I immediately hooked it up. The picture is perfect! This monitor is slightly wider and taller than my previous monitor. My son helped me hook everything up and when we turned it on, We both simultaneously said WOW!!! It came with an HDMI cord, the power cord, and the cord to hook up the monitor to the tower, the manual, and the 1 year warranty paper. I immediately went to netflix and fb to check out the quality of the video and images. I then played a video game on steam and was amazed by the quality. The built in speakers are awesome! When I would take a photo of the screen on my phone of the ASUS (previous monitor), the photos would show up wavy. When I take photos of the screen on the Sceptre monitor, they show up crystal clear! I am very happy with this monitor and would recommend this for anyone. As a matter of fact, I have already recommended this monitor to a friend who is looking for a monitor for her grandson. I fix computers and upgrade them for people in my spare time. For me to highly recommend this product really says something about the product. You really should give this a try, you won't be disappointed! I also like the fact that it can double as a TV with the HDMI hookup! All you need to do is connect the hdmi cord to your monitor and to your cable or satellite receiver box and you are set!

Great Picture
I have had this monitor for a little over 2 months the picture is great for reading text, watching videos, and playing games. As others have mentioned the speakers are pretty weak if you have no space they are better than nothing but I am not using them myself. For the price this is a great product. Second Sceptre device I own also have a TV going on 2 years which is why I bought this monitor. If the speakers were better I would have given it a 5. I can see why people say it doesn't tilt I really thought I was going to break it the first time I did it, very tight.

Great picture with fast setup
I had the new monitor connected and working within 20 minutes. No adjustments were necessary. I used the HDMI cable included in the box. The only problem I had was the monitor tilted towards the front a few degrees. I was afraid of damaging it and contacted Tech Support by email. Their quick response said to hold the base and press down on the top while changing the tilt. It worked and I was happy. I have only had the monitor for 5 days but my experience with a Sceptre 32" TV has given me confidence with this monitor.

Very PLeased indeed!
Item arrived on time, and was packaged solidly with no damages, The monitor came with Monitor Display x 1, Base x 1, User Manual x 1, Power Cord x 1, VGA Cable x 1, HDMI Cable x 1 as stated in the description. It was very quick and easy to set up and I am very impressed with colors. Measurements of screen diagonally is exactly 27". It is easy to work the menu to adjust colors and more. My only critique is that, in my opinion, the base is rather cheaply made. However, the monitor stands solidly so I guess this is not that important an issue. I highly recommend this monitor, and intend to purchase one more in near future, as I use dual monitors for gaming. On my attached photo, my new Sceptre 27" monitor is to the left.

Sceptre monitor
I was looking to get a bigger monitor because the eyes are not what they used to be. I was also looking for a monitor that was relatively cheap. After doing my research this Sceptre monitor seemed to fit both of my needs. It was delivered to my door a few days later than the estimated delivery, but that was only a minor disappointment. Once I got it out of the box it was a breeze to hook up to my computer. It took literally just a few minutes. I am not a technologically savvy person so I can not tell you about the technical side. I can tell you that the picture looks great. The monitor is everything I hoped for and it was at an excellent price. I am very happy with the purchase and would do it again.

A Perfect Upgrade
My sister and I purchased this monitor as a Christmas gift for our mother. She uses an older PC (Windows 7) but wanted a larger screen. It is "plug and play", uses a VGA plug, but includes an HDMI option for versatility. She was not interested in a touch screen and we wanted to avoid a built-in camera. The picture is crisp and can easily accomodate a 125-150% screen magnification. What a great value!

Exceeds my expitations
I had been wanting a monitor 25" or better and saw this at a very nice price on Newegg. It was easy to set up I used DVI as my PC has a nice sound system already, and I didn't need the HDMI. The picture is bright and sharp, needed to make no adjustments. The contrast is great, I had trouble with my other monitor sometimes seeing boxes I need to fill in on forms, with this monitor no trouble. Highly Recommended.

Perfect Solution/Value for our needs
Purchased as upgrade for Dad who's vision has worsened so he could increase Windows 10 display settings to 150%, give him much more horizontal viewing area, yet still not have to scroll at all or as much as he did with old 19" (1440 x 900) monitor in typical apps and browser. Used included VESA mounting holes to mount new MSI Cubi Mini PC to rear of monitor, eliminating the clutter of his old Dell tower PC. Display is bright, decent contrast, acceptable viewing angle and color, text and icons sharp at native resolution. Regardless what some viewers report, the display panel tilts forward/back a few degrees; the hinge is just stiffer than most (which might be a good thing). Speakers obviously not adequate for music but clear and loud enough for typical Windows beeps, dings, notifications. Windows 10 detected this as Standard PnP but that was changed to Flat Panel 1920x1080 easily enough. Not really necessary because display adapter software properly detected correct resolution and Sceptre model number from the start. Panel frame/bezel is HUGE compared to many monitors today, and there was ONE bad pixel, but at only $149.99 price tag that is easily overlooked. Because Walmart's extended warranties are always so cheap, opting for the $14.00 2-Year Care Plan was a no-brainer; something I probably wouldn't do elsewhere. Both of us couldn't be more happy.

great picture
This monitor is for one of my customers who has failing eye sight. He is using this on his computer. At this size he has no problems reading his email. The only con is the resolution does not go up very high. The maximum resolution is not high enough to allow a person to raise the resolution to be able to put two pages side by side. If you are looking for a combination monitor and TV set, using a set top box, this could be would be what you want.

great monitor for a great price
i was comparing different monitors for working at home (also a gamer by night) so i needed something that could do both seamlessly. after researching the more "mainstream" brands, and realizing that they are very overpriced and the ratings were subpar, i sat back in frustration. then i looked to my left... my old square sceptre monitor that still is in full use, over 7 years old, and working flawlessly. why hadnt i thought of that before! looking at the other brand that i was using for my main due to it being newer and horizontal vs square, i realized just how poor my "newer" monitor was. so i decided to get this sceptre instead of another "better" brand. i have never been happier. it has all of the size and durability of any other major brand its size. the screen does not have the same lighting as the "better" brands so instead of the light being brighter on the bottom and dimming as it goes up, this monitor is all one even brightness. which is great for text and dark rooms of horror with my games. there are no pixel issues, it can handle any game i have put it up to, and is much easier to read. the only settings i changed were the darkness/brightness a tad bit since i like a bit more washed out/brighter color for those dark rooms in games. but it has not hurt the text reading at all. not only would i recommend this to everyone i know, but i highly recommend the brand in general. they are a much underrated monitor provider. heck, i plan on getting a few more since they are so good! replacing all my other monitors in the house.

Plug and Play HDMI
Plug and Play with HDMI cable out of the box. Brilliant color, great picture. High quality, very pleased

I am Very Satisfied
I read the reviews before I purchased this product. I found the monitor very easy to setup. My BIOS and operating system Windows 10 recognized it right away. There was no need to install drivers or special software. Some negative reviews I read said the monitor would not tilt, or it was very difficult to tilt. I had absolutely no problem getting the monitor to tilt in the direction I chose. This is an excellent buy for the money.

5 Star Monitor
I purchased this monitor on 8/22/16 and though I have not owned it long, I liked it enough to purchase two more in September. The colors are amazing and the 27" size was/is perfect for my desk setup, especially with three of them soon. As with most products, time and usage will tell, but for now and for the price, I love it!

Why?
So far I've found the Sceptre 27 inch monitor meets all my expectations. I have my own sound system so I don't bother with the one on the monitor but everything else is great. Hooked it up to my computer and it started without a problem. The only reason it gets a rating of 4 instead of a 5 is the stand. I knew from reading the other reviews that most likely the monitor stand doesn't adjust, no matter what one person said. Like some of the other reviewers, I have shimmed the base to tilt the screen up and level it. My question is why didn't the company go a step further and make a base that is adjustable? It would have made a good product that much better.

Easy to set up
I just bought this and had it assembled, up and running in no time flat. It is a good size, clear picture and I used the old style VGA cord which was supplied as my computer is a bit older. Absolutely no problems with it. It is stiff to tilt it back, and no mention of adjusting this in manual. I like that it gives several options for hooking up to a computer, older or newer. The price was reasonable.

Sceptre 27" thumbs up
I have several computers so I wanted all the options VGA, DVI, HDMI. This monitor has them all. I'm using this as my primary Monitor with HDMI, and my older as a second monitor DVI. Came right up as the primary monitor with the HDMI. Nice size crisp display makes my other monitor look inferior(23").

Good monitor
Use mostly for digital review and editing. Default settings were too dark but were easily adjusted for my work. Biggest complaint is needing to readjust settings when children use my computer for streaming videos which the default settings are better. No "dead areas" have developed on the screen after over 4 months of 40 to 50 hours use each week. I would recommend the product.

Love this monitor!
I bought this monitor because my daughter is starting online school in the fall. At first I was a little upset because it didn't seem like you could tilt the screen. But with a little help from my daughter it is adjusted just right. The screen is the perfect size for her schooling. It's also great for the work that I do on it. It has a great picture. We have added speakers so I can't tell you anything about its original sound quality. Would buy another and would definitely recommend.

Good monitor just need a base that is adjustable
This is a good monitor with good clarity. I can see small print off of it without any trouble. I had used a lower quality one before, and I just could not deal with the blurry small prints. This one makes the small prints very clear, and I can really use the large screen to view much more as I work. I would recommend it. The only part I don't like, hence the 4 stars, is the base. It is not adjustable, so it stays only in one place, and you need to modify your workspace a bit to put it in the ideal position.

Great Monitor
Received this monitor as expected. Packaging was great protection for this product. The installation was easy and took very little time. I used an HDMI hookup and was amazed at the clarity. With this size monitor, I no longer require prescription glasses to view information. The color spectrum is breath taking. I am extremely pleased with the monitor and the price was good value for this 27 inch monitor.

SCEPTRE 27" REFERBISHED MONITOR
This is the second monitor refurb that I have purchased in the past six months, my wife used mine and then I could never get to my unit so I purchased one for her and she loves it. This is one of the best monitors I have ever purchased, it is bright, clear and just a beautiful display.

Great for the price
I'm not a gamer so refresh rates and such aren't as important to me. I just needed a larger screen for these old eyes to read email, work on a few spreadsheets, and check out the occasional you tube video. This monitor is perfect for that. Clear, sharp picture. Lightweight.

Sceptre 27"
Good computer monitor, large display, Colors are great and bright. Does tilt back and forth a small amount. Tilt is stiff, but use two hands at top or sides and it will move. No dead pixels. Would buy again. Good price range for this size. Comes with cables for VGA and HDMI. I am using the DVI mode. So no matter what you can use older VGA video cards to the newer DVI and HDMI cards.

Great Monitor.
Windows 10 work great with this monitor. I snap different pages to all 4 corners and still easy to read. Bright image. I like how the buttons for the Menu is located on the bottom right hand corner out of sight.

Awesome!
The item itself is a little heavier than other brands, which, of course, doesn't matter because it sits stationary and isn't moved around. That was just an FYI. :p As two other people said, which also apply to my review.... 1) picture and clarity are top notch, and 2) I don't need my reading glasses for this monitor! Going from a 19.5" to this 27" screen..... World of Warcraft is a whole new experience! Again.... Awesome!

Vivid colors
Overall I am extremely pleased with the product. My only complaint is it would be beneficial to explain how to tilt the monitor in the manual. I emailed support for info because I was afraid to break base if I tried to tilt it.

A lot of real estate...
This monitor is huge. I bought 3 of them for our loan officers. The loan origination program we use can often use a pretty small font. Throw in a bit of age of the eyes and things get hard to see. Our folks work best by leaving the resolution at the optimal level and changing the text size in windows to 125%. You can also manually increase the font used in Outlook, etc. I don't expect the speakers to be world-beaters, I'm just glad they are included. I did have to scrape up some DVI cords, as our PCs did not have HDMI ports. Hard to beat at this price point.

Great
Pros: Great image quality! Speakers are built-in average "tinny speakers"...
Cons: The first shipping attempt failed. One corner of what seemed to be the OEM box was slightly dented. Upon opening it, I found that the upper left corner was cracked. They truly should have packed the OEM box within another box. I applied for an RMA replacement, and begged the service tech for extra packaging.. "We can't alter the packaging sir.".... LAME! Luckily, the replacement arrived about a week later without incident. It blows away my Samsung Sync Master 27inch LCD from 2 years ago!!! Speakers are tinny, but video is great. I would have given it 5 stars if it would have arrived undamaged...

Great Screen
I bought this to replace a 19" monitor and it has been more than worth it. The display is bright, colors are vivid and videos play smoothly.

Excellent deal
Pros: Thin, good angle adjustment, large!
Cons: Non really at this price.
Other Thoughts: Very good monitor for sitting across a large desk. The 1080p is easy to read. makes my 24" that I'm running at the same time look small. The only problem was that some dummy at the factory put the energy star sticker directly on the LCD and it was very difficult to get off. So difficult that i was afraid I might damage the surface.

Solid, Basic Monitor
Pros: This monitor is overall very nice. After adjusting the settings on the monitor and computer, the picture is bright and crisp. Colors show well and construction is solid. It comes with HDMI and VGA cables, which might save you a few bucks.
Cons: Speakers are terrible (but that's expected). If you're really looking for it you might notice the backlight seems a bit brighter toward the bottom of the screen. It doesn't bother me and I don't really notice it during normal use.
Other Thoughts: There are better monitors out there, but for the price it meets my needs perfectly.

great picture
Pros: Very nice looking monitor, the picture was perfect out of the box, my computer immediately recognized it and changed aspect ratio automatically. Stand is very stable for such a big screen.
Cons: Nothing really, much bigger then i thought it was going to be, but that's just my lack of knowledge on screen sizes.
Other Thoughts: i don't use the on-board speakers because this isn't 2001 and i have much better speakers already. They do suck but what are you expecting?

Great picture - low quality builtin speaker sound
Pros: Great picture for the price, loving the big 27" screen! (had a 21" Dell monitor beforehand) Easy installation - less than 1/2 hr (being cautious and including removing old monitor). Bought it on the Premier price so I'm still definitely happy with the purchase!
Cons: The builtin 2 watt speakers had a definite tinny metalic sound. I had read the previous reviews and thought I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to sound quality, but I just couldn't deal with the sound quality and reconnected a pair of desktop speakers I had on hand.
Other Thoughts: Came with VGA & HDMI cable (which I'm using), but the length on this is about 6' so keep in mind if you're needing to put tower under desk on the floor. Plastic construction around monitor and base, but felt solid.

Pleasantly Pleased
Pros: Brilliant colour depth, and wonderfully sharp edges. So far this monitor looks wonderful. Ordered two and I am currently dual-screening them on a GTX 760 super overclock with dual link DVI.
Cons: None yet
Other Thoughts: Not terribly fond of the annoying red blinking light when its off, but I'll live. Can't really classify it as a "complaint".

SCEPTRE E275W-1920 27"
Pros: Bright and clear to all edges. No dead pixels. Seems to tilt forward a little more than most monitors which was exactly what i needed. Base is solid with very little screen shake.
Cons: The only con i have is when the computer is off the power light on the front blinks on and off. No big deal.
Other Thoughts: Very good monitor at the on sale price.

BEST I EVER HAD
I am EXTREMELY happy so far (3 days) about this monitor and at the price i got it at! (On NEWegg.com @ $169.99) This monitor is not only HUGE but the colors on here are vibrant and i can see everything from gaming to watching movies on here really clear. THANKS SCEPTER :)

Beautiful!
Pros: Beautiful image, great color saturation. I plugged it into the HDMI port of my high-end nVidia video card, and everything worked perfectly out-of-the-box. Very good value for the price.
Cons: The built-in speakers aren't the best sounding. But, I never expect built-in speakers to sound all that great, so I'm not taking any eggs off because of it.
Other Thoughts: I know that it's customary to write something about the controls, but I'm afraid that I can't. The only control that I've even touched is the on-off switch. Everything was perfect when I connected it to the machine, so there was no need at all for me to even try out the other controls.

Nice Monitor
Pros: Great monitor. well packaged, included HDMI and D-sub cables. Great price at $169.99 with free shipping.
Cons: Required a workstation cleanup, i.e. dust bunny herding and cable roundup. This situation added more work for me.
The speakers sound real tinnie (sp?) but what do you expect from full range 2" spekers.
Other Thoughts: I bought this monitor for my my mother (80yo) to upgrade her old 20" standard format monitor. I had to clean up her desk and surrounding area. 10 min. install and 1 hour cleanup, looks great (the station), but am pleased with everything now.

Great value
I decided it was time to let my monitor "grow up". I had a 22" that this monitor replaced. This has excellent picture quality, takes less power than the 22" to run and 'fits' the area where it needs to go. I wouldn't recommend this monitor if you're getting it because it has built in speakers.

Looks Good But...
Pros: Excellent price on sale, $169.99. After reading online about the monitor, I found out that it rates as no.3 in model quality behind Samsung, that's a big plus. Has built in speakers that automatically play when using HDMI, a plus. Has HDMI Dual Link DIV-D, and VGA inputs, Another big plus. I like the black color, another plus. And that's all the eggs...4.
Newegg .com delivered on time as usual. NJ to VA in 2 days for free, can't complain about them, they are always fast and on time, at least for me, every time.
Cons: The only problem I have with the monitor is when connected to HDMI is black border of 1 inch on the sides and 3/4 inch at the top and bottom, hey I bought a 27 inch monitor not a 25 inch one. I had to connect it using the analog vga connector to get full screen real estate, in doing so I lost the audio on the built in speakers. Now I have to purchase a speaker cable to use the speakers, oh well I guess I will use them for center channel speakers and keep the 2.1 computer speaker for R & L sub to create an odd 4.1 speaker system that will require some fine tuning for proper balance between them. D@#n, more work and money to achieve perfection, but that's how I am.
Other Thoughts: I am an EET (Electrical Engineer Tech) you know a hardware engineer. I purchased this monitor for my 80 year old mother as an upgrade for her 17 inch (square, well almost square) monitor. I asked her for her opinion about it after I set it up, her response was "I have to get used to that big of a monitor first". So I'll have to wait to give a more in depth review of it in the future, so please stand by...

Better than my NEC monitors
Very nice black and color range. LDE/LCD panel is the same quality as Samsung or NEC. You can use these for graphic design or video editing with no problems. I Got them on newegg.com for only $199, great deal. Will be order some for the rest of the company.

Sceptre E275W
Pros: No stuck pixels, easy to use menus, stand is strong, nice color, good view angle. Comes with HDMI and VGA cables but not DVI cable.
Cons: Screen is a bit brighter on the bottom then fades darker towards the top, this is most noticeable with a white background like a spreadsheet, not a big deal to me but some may be bothered by it.

Pretty Good
I have had this monitor for a couple of weeks now, and overall I am fairly happy with it. The screen size is significantly larger than the laptop that I had before this, yet I can only see pixels if I get my face fairly close to the screen specifically looking for them. It is a fairly clean picture. I use this computer for gaming, specifically Guild Wars 2 so far, and the world is even more beautiful than what it was before on my laptop. The HDMI cord provided is fairly short, so the tower has to be really close by and on the left side (when looking at the screen) of the monitor. I appreciate that there are speakers built in for two reasons: I didn't have to immediately go out and buy speaks which would have added to my bill and I don't have to constantly wear the headphones that came free with my tower. The quality of the speakers are fairly mediocre though. I have music playing as I am typing this review and I almost want to switch to headphones because there is zero bass. The music also loses some quality when playing at high volumes and the vocals sound muffled at any volume, but like I said, at least it has something. It may also be because I do not have a big enough desk as I should so I may be a little too close to the screen. Getting in contact with support was an issue for me. There wasn't anything seriously wrong, it was just I was using a VGA cable and not an HDMI cable to connect my tower and monitor so no sound was coming out. Originally I had emailed them about the issue, and they misinterpreted me and thought I had bought a TV, not a computer monitor. I replied saying the solution they gave will not work because
