Excellent Monitor

The value and performance of the Sceptre 24" HD monitor is as good as I've seen. I was concerned that my older PC wouldn't be able to take advantage of the monitor's quality and features. But after a quick adjustment to my computer's screen resolution I was pleasantly surprised to see full-screen splendor using just a VGA connection. I haven't tried it with HDMI yet, but I assume that since it looks this good with VGA it should really shine at full capacity.

Good monitor!!!

It has been working perfectly since the day I received. I like the big screen on this monitor. It supports up to 1920x1080 pixels that would be more than enough room for me to enjoy surfing websites, watching movies or playing games. I haven't tried the speakers of it yet, but I don't care as long as it gives me good display and vision.

Monitor does not tilt!

I read were some have this monitor that tilts and some don't, mine does not tilt. I think there is a newer model with a round base like in the picture not a square base like mine that does tilt. I'm carrying it back and getting the newer model. I do like the monitor but I wanted it to tilt.

perfect for our need

this monitor is the perfect size for my husband who lives on netflix. resolution is great and the tilt on the monitor base works out well. super easy set up too.

Great Picture, Great Price

Love my new monitor. At 1st I was ready to return it because I didn't think it tilted but after some effort I was able to adjust it to the correct angle.

Great So Far!

PROS: * Works out of the box * Great picture quality * Text is easy to read * Display and power cable plugs are in a good spot * OSD controls, while on the bottom, are labeled. CONS: * They only ship a D-SUB/VGA Analog display cable (They still make these?) * There is an FTC Energy usage sticker stuck to the actual screen (Seriously!?) Thoughts: It‘s a great display, and I‘m happy with my purchase, but anyone buying this monitor and factoring price needs to account for an extra $15-20 for a DVI or HDMI cable because nobody uses analog VGA interface anymore (cards haven‘t even had a VGA port for quite a while). Secondly, I realize LED is not LCD, but still, who puts an energy usage sticker on the actual screen. Also, the sicker is on the monitor which is inside the box - we don‘t see the sticker until we have bought it and opened it - so it seems rather pointless to put it there.

Pros: all connection types do work, has a nice onscreen setup

Cons: none really...only long term use will determine if this was a good monitor

I want to clear the air on some things

Pros: It's a nice sleek monitor, super easy to set up and the connections are very easy to get to unlike some monitors.

Now you will see some people complaining about it not being adjustable, and I don't know if they got a bad one or what their issue was but that is not the case at all. Out of the box it's a little stiff but once you mount it to the base the weight of the monitor makes it very easy to adjust.

Cons: The only things that bothered me about this monitor is that the buttons are on the underside and the quality of the speaker is terrible. However I did not buy the monitor for the speaker, I wanted a new hd monitor, simple as that. Now the buttons only annoyed me cause I'm not used to it, so I had trouble finding it. Other than me just having a blonde moment it's really not a con at all, just a minor irritation that was a result of my own ignorance.

Other Thoughts: This product doesn't really get a lot of attention from what I can tell, I mean if it is on sale then pick it up however at full price? I don't know maybe I'm just a cheapskate but it is a good monitor and so far I am loving it. However it is too early for me to really run into any issues, but as long as I get a few years use out of it then I am happy.

Great Price for General Use

I‘ve used it with both DVI and later with HDMI - excellent resolution for my purposes (audio mixing with long fader sets, and fractal rendering). The stand was somewhat lackluster - it‘s fixed, with a slight downward facing angle. But then it does have rear screw-hole mounts for wall or arm fixtures... and I set a little below the riser on my desk. For the price (in comparison the the $250 to $350 monitors of same size I was looking at), this was steal.

Easy to hook up

Monitor was easy to hook up and has a beautiful picture. Price was reasonable as well.

Pros: Big, Nice looking, affordable price

Cons: TERRIBLE SPEAKER QUALITY. At least you can plug nicer speakers in.

Other Thoughts: I bought the 21 inch monitor that was like $106 or something. Instead of sending me that, they sent me this one!! I don't know if it was a mistake on their end, but I love you sceptre ;) Will definitely buy another for another display

great features

Nice size great features like HDMI, DVI, and VGA. Like the speaker feature for Skyping etc. Good resolution. Nice Monitor for the price.

Incredible Picture!

After shopping for a larger HD monitor I spotted this Sceptre 24" on Walmart.com at a great price and decided to take the plunge. The size is perfect... plenty big without overkill. Even old TV shows on YouTube look great with sharp detail and zero motion blur. HD material is exceptional using just a VGA connection from an older computer. Once the computer‘s resolution is set to the monitor‘s recommended 1920 X 1080 / 60Hz resolution the entire screen is used in the correct aspect ratio for natural viewing. The tilt base is especially nice to position the monitor to suit personal preference. All-in-all, this is a great monitor by any standard and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade from a smaller screen.

This Monitor Does Tilt!!

This monitor performs very well for the cost!! Also I read from several others that this unit did not tilt and that is just NOT True! This monitor tilts forward and backwards with NO Trouble at all. Also it was very easy to set up and get going!

What I was looking for

I wanted a large, LED, affordable monitor. This was the best match for my search. The brand seemed sketchy at first, however it delivered. The shipping was quick(3 days) and the screen is large enough for me(college engineering student). The picture is great and vivid. I am content.

Easy Install

I bought this as a second display for my laptop. I just plugged in the HDMI cable and within a minute I had a beautiful 1920 X 1080 display.
