Excellent TV, ignore the 1 star shipping reviews.

9/21/2018 (Sceptre 50" x505BV-FSR) Excellent TV for the price. The sound isn't great, but it works fine for TV viewing. If you want home theater sound, then no this doesn't have it. I chose this over the Sceptre 55" 4k tv because that one had more negative reviews of the TV developing dark spots or no longer working after a while. From all the reviews, this one seems to be better quality. If you are reading reviews, disregard all the 1 star ratings that are solely based on shipping issues, receiving a broken TV. Those reviews don't say anything about the actual TV quality. And its usually a non-issue returning a defective/broken item to Walmart for refund/exchange. The main dislike I have is the on-screen program guide that shows what is playing currently and in the future. Would have been nice if there was a grid so you could see at a glance upcoming shows on a particular channel. Instead, you have to hit a button to advance to next show(s) to see whats on in future. Another negative but doesn't affect me, the headphone jack is in the center of the back of the TV. If you really wanted to use headphones, it would be a pain to plug them in/unplug every time. The over the air TV stations that it receives in the Phoenix AZ area is the same as the previous standalone digital box I had. No issues with signal reception. The TV has 3 audio outputs on the back - headhphone, optical, and RCA plugs. For inputs, it has 3 HDMI, 1 shared composite/video (with sound input too), and 1 VGA (with a separate sound input for it also). The remote control shares some of the same commands as an old Sony stereo receiver I have, such as the power button on the Sony remote turns off the power off on the TV also. Kind of a nuisance. The default "Energy Saving" screen settings are a little dark on some TV programs, but that can easily be changed in the video settings.

This tv for the money can't be beat brilliant picture sound ok but that can be blamed on direct my entenna audio is 3 times greater. Great tv.

Worth the Price

The picture was very bright and sharp. The delivery was quick and taken care of. I bought this to replace a Philips TV and this one has been great so far. Well worth the value.

Great deal... Picture is awesome... Only problem for me is the sound...Certain channels have really great sound, other channels not so much, looking into surround sound...But other than that it's great for the price!!!

I brought this tv only because the price and the size I was amazed of how nice this tv look I would recommend this t.v. and shipping waa great it came the day they said about to order another one

An Amazing 50" inche TV

Really clear colorful pictures. Nice and big great for Xbox games, great price we upgraded all 32”inche TVs to 50s. Sound system could be better. We have at least 3.

New Sceptre television

The 50" television came boxed very efficiently. It was in perfect condition. We were able to set it up quickly, access our cable connection and begin watching clear, colorful TV. It is very lightweight and a good quality product.

Great Bargain

This TV is such a good deal - it was really easy to set up and shipped quickly. It arrived without any damage and my friend and I quickly assembled it and were watching TV in no time. I haven't had any issues with sound or viewing quality and am glad I made this purchase. It is not a smart TV, but it has HDMI hookups that you can set up with a Roku (or other similar device) so that's not an issue at all for me. No complaints at all from me!

For a brand that I never knew existed, it turned out pretty well. This is the second Spectre I purchased. The first was a 32''. It has all the necessary inputs, HDMI, USB, RCA and most of all the headphone jack. The picture is quite good too. I can now use my sound bar( I couldn't with my other TV). I highly recommend this brand.

VERY, very pleased. Arrived on schedule, perfect size for my bedroom, rich colors and nice sound, this replace a 73" which was way too big. Picture I uploaded shows some glare because my curtains are open on the other side of the room. I will be buying the 65" Sceptre soon to replace my current living room 55".

Wow, this was a really great deal! My wife was really skeptical and thought I was wasting money, but after taking it out and using it for the last two weeks, we have both agreed that this is a great TV! The clarity of the picture, pixelation, size, sound is more than sufficient for our bedroom. Put it on vivid! I also bought the $25 warranty just in case to cover it for 3 years. If it dies, then I won't regret it.

no bells and whistles, but I love it

No bells and whistles, but I didn't need them. love it. Picture is clear. I run everything through my firetv box, so I didn't need anything extra, it is perfect for my family.

You get what you pay for

GREAT price and overall pretty decent. My one complaint, haven't tested it on everything, but for football games the colors seem to shift to lower saturations and all colors shift towards blue. Washington Husky jerseys were a BYU blue on this TV. Not the worst thing and only $200. Hard to complain with such a great price.

It is a true 50 inch and this was definitely worth the purchase. Most tv's this large cost way more (around 500) and this was an impulse buy because I could not find one this cheap. Its loud as heck can hear it perfectly clear at volume level 10. Only complaint about it is its not the clearest picture. Its slightly grainy and pixalated. Nothing horrible but its jist not quite HD top notch crystal clear picture quality. Still definitely worth the purchase. Would and should have bought another:)

has a great picture and easy to set up. the packing is really good so as to make sure the product is well protected. also it's not that heavy 26lbs so I didn't need any help and I'm 63 with some limitations
