I am Very thankful for this product. The Cyber Monday price from the retail store was half that of the manufacturer list price. I am pushing 1080p through an Xbox one and must say the picture on this tv is brilliant, fluent, vivid, and very clear.
Perhaps after New Years I will find a product that pushes a 4k feed, but watching HD streaming from Netflix and Amazon Instant Video, even some Youtube clips, on this device are phenomenal. And this price for a 55" is hands down unbeatable. Even the current retail price is uncanny.
On Walmart.com, it has a three star customer rating because for one, people don‘t know you need an actual HD feed and supporting device to get the best picture. (i‘m using Xbox One and HDMI 2.0 cable. Secondly, most of the poor reviews on this seller site are from points knocked off because of the shipper (fedex) either being late or product arriving damaged.
Do not expect to get unparalleled sound quality from a flat screen tv you are not breaking the bank over. I have plugged into the Line Out jack stereo Logitech speakers with 10 in sub woofer.
On my review here, I am giving a four star because there was not enough information inside the package to help me with set up. It is advertised as a 120Hz tv, but all HDMI ports are 60Hz or 30Hz.
There is a function in advance picture settings menu to turn on/off MEMC which is supposed to upscale all feeds to 120fps, but booklet says this is only an effect, and all I can tell is the screen gets a see bit darker. (streamed House of Cards and Youtube 4k footage to test this.)
4K is still new on the market, but the experts are saying it‘s here to stay and increasing. So go ahead and get this tv instead of breaking the bank and have it around for a while.
Something I would recommend is the manufacturer to include instructions on getting the best picture possible and what to fine tune, etc.
Paper materials included contain many typos and is very vague, some of the features promoted on
