Sceptre 50 inch

Good purchase... Good Price..Quick delivery. Nice picture at this price point. Really loaded with inputs and outputs...a big deal if you have streaming, games, external audio etc.

Great price..Great TV!

I have only had it but a few days and amazed at the picture quality for the price. I made a few personal tweaks, and so far very happy with this purchase. I added a powered bass speaker from an old computer and it gave the bass I was looking for, it really made a huge difference in the sound. Maybe I‘ll get a Sceptre sound bar later, but for now it is doing a great job. It was packaged very nice, so I had no problems with it being damaged. Unbelievable quality for the price!

VERY NICE

I have two Sceptres. I bought the 40" last year and when I decided to redo my guest room this year, I put the 40" in there and bought a 50" for my living room. The picture quality is very good for the price. I would recommend this tv to anyone who is looking to buy a big screen tv at a reasonable cost.

Excellent Picture

I picked Sceptre as I have a 40" Sceptre in our bedroom that was giving to us as a Christmas gift 5 years ago. It has been trouble free. This set has a great picture, fair sound and easy set up. Attached HDMI cable. Plugged in TV.Turned on. It was that easy.

Love everything about it!!

This tv was well spent. I was Cautious at first, but now I‘m glad I bought it! This was the biggest bang for my buck!

The Best Bang For the Buck

I have had this tv for over a year and it continues to amaze me with what it is capable of doing the sound i have out to 7.0 its just amazing then you add the bass boost during the right movies and you can feel the action i added my Tv and chromecast so i can watch or listen to anything if ypu want a great tv without the cost thius is the best keep up the great products Jeff L Massachusetts

Sceptre tv is a very good affordable tv I own two of em I and in the five years we have not had any serious problems with it. I love the new scepter we jus got picture is awesome no complaints so far! :-)

50" SCEPTRE TV

Excellent, sharp picture, reasonable price. This is my 2nd purchase in 2 years. I love the fact that they both have 3 and 4 HDMI respectively which is a really good feature. The sound quality is good although I will be purchasing a sound bar to enhance it much more. It looks really good in my living room!

Best 50 inch tv

I purchase this TV on Sept 14th 2015. It Is clear, bright and the picture is very colorful. I purchase this TV online through Walmart and it came to my door within 3 days. It is easy to set up and believe me if I can set it up anyone can. The price was great.

Great TV, Great Price

This is my second Sceptre TV. I have had a 32" for 2 years, and have had no problems, so I felt comfortable buying another. I did buy the extended service for both TVs ( at about $1.00 per month, a good deal also) for added peace of mind. This 50" has a very good picture, and at $359.00, costs much less than other 50" from the well known name brands. As with any flat screen TV, regardless of brand, I recommend a sound bar, or as I do, run the audio thru my stereo receiver that I already had.

Excellent TV - great deal!

This TV actually exceeded my expectations. I thought that since it was priced so low compared to others in it's class that I would have to sacrifice some quality. It turns out, that's not true! This TV looks great, sounds good, and has a slim profile. I'm impressed.

Good TV at a reasonable price

Very well packaged and easy to set up. Good value at a reasonable price, the only reason why I gave 4 stars is because it was a day late ship to store after guaranteed ship date. Walmart did give me an additional 5 % off for inconvenience.

Can't Beat it for the Price

We've only had the TV for a short time, but from all our experimentation it seems to be a top-notch 50" LED HDTV, for the price of a much lower tier model from other better known brands. Our Roku 2 hooked up in a few seconds (and the TV comes specially designed for the Roku Stick, if you don't have a streaming box yet) and our DVD player had no issues either. Everything looks and sounds great. Now, we're not tech snobs and honestly TV isn't a huge part of my family's life, so it's quite possible there are lots of things about this TV that would make a tech snob nervous. But those are also the folks who are comfortable spending 4 digits and up on a boob tube, so I don't personally understand them. If you're like me and my family and all you're interested in is a clear picture, quality sound, and a screen you can see from across the living room, you absolutely can't beat it for the price.

We bought a 40" Sceptre for our guesthouse and were so impressed with the picture and sound that we purchased this 50". For the money, it‘s hard to beat!

Good TV for the price, but...

Slightly deceptive in the product description as they state ... "Built-in digital tuner ATSC/NTSC. Watch digital broadcasts, including HDTV programs where available" but what they fail to mention is that it doesn't have a QAM tuner. As I plug my cable directly into the TV (or via a media player) you don't get any of the local over the air digital HD channels. I may have paid a little extra on a Samsung or Smart TV if I had known about the QAM tuner so now I have to rent a digital adapter from my cable company. Now that I can get HD channels, picture quality is so much better and the sound is good. Remote and menu functions are simple and basic (nothing fancy). Overall, it's not bad for the price when you already own a digital tuner or media player or cable box.

For the price, you can not go wrong with this TV. I've used 2 Sceptre products in the past (one flat panel monitor, one CRT monitor) and they both lasted for many years. At 50", this display has great clarity, color and refresh rate. The HDMI port on the side will allow you to control your new generation Roku device or many smart phones using your TV remote. The viewing angle for this TV is great as well. I have a couch placed in front of the TV and 2 single seater recliners on the side. The 2 side seats still get great picture quality and none of that "negative" color effect you get from some TN displays. I can't rate the built in speakers, but I assume they're kind of cruddy. I'd recommend anyone getting a TV this size get a Sound Bar or Home Theater setup to compliment this great TV. Unless you're wanting a bigger TV or a higher refresh rate, this TV is AWESOME.
