More bang for your buck !

Was kinda worried that the 4k would be bad but it turns out it's really good for a low end TV - and the picture is pretty clean - watching blu rays with a 4k up converting player is amazing - the only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 is due to the edge lit technology - but for the price it's a great buy !

Great Value 4K TV

I bought this TV for $279.99 and I couldn't be more pleased. Very happy with the picture quality. I like how the Sceptre logo is nearly transparent on the bottom of the screen. VERY pleased with the sound quality, especially after reading the negative reviews about it. We have a nice-sized living room and the sound is adequate on 10 (volume goes up to 100). Also, make sure the device you have hooked up to the TV is set to the maximum resolution. For example, we have an outdated Roku that only gets a maximum of 1080p. In order to get the 1080p, we had to manually adjust the resolution settings on the Roku. To check your resolution, just press info on the Sceptre remote. I don't have a device hooked up that can put out 4k yet, but once I do, I'll update this. We've had the TV for two weeks now!

Excellent as a Computer Monitor

Being older than I like to admit, my love of very large, multiple monitors (that I can see) on the computer led me to try this tv. You can't get a better price for a 4k tv. It's like having four 1080p screens available at the same time. Imagine Google Earth with four times the amount of the earth visible at one time. Even better, long web pages and long documents are visible without having to scroll up and down. Very nice. Of course, the graphics capability of your computer will have to support the higher resolution and multiple monitors. Video cards that can handle the 4k resolution are not expensive these days. Seriously, this tv has performed flawlessly for 6 months now. Text is very legible, color is great. Energy consumption (I measured it) is about a third of similar sized LCD tvs that I use with far less heat output. Delivery by Walmart was perfect and it is so light that I easily moved it around. I am phasing out my 2 other large 1080p televisions and am going to buy the 55" Sceptre next. (My computer desk is a conference table so I can fit three of these in front of me with a couple of smaller ones on the side.) I'm a very happy camper. Highly recommend.

I love it!

I purchased a 32-inch Sceptre 3 years ago and have enjoyed it very much so I never hesitated to give this one a try as well. The picture is really nice and the sound is no worse than any other TV (it is actually loud to my ears). It is also very light and offers great connectivity options!

I get this tv for the Xbox one s great price didn't except much but for less then 300 I really like this tv. Netflix looks great in 4K games play well haven't noticed any motion blur even though it's only 60mhz. The sound isn't great but you have a lot of settings to get it to be alright.

It's no $1000 television...

...and that's the point. 90% of the tv for 20% of the price. Love it.

Awesome for the price

The picture is pretty awesome for the price. The sound is really tiny. I have it hooked up to my computer, playing games on 4K is pretty awesome.

First 4k TV purchase

The television arrived by fed ex and no damage was done during shipping. The box arrived intact. Unpacking we found the TV Stand which looks like two boomerang metal pieces, a screwdriver, 4 screws, remote control with batteries. The enclosed booklet is more like a sheet of paper with the basics on it. Setup was a breeze and the picture is stunning with direct TV, and an Xbox one. The sound is amazing and would be even better with surround sound which is my next purchase. The TV is very light weighing in at 33 pounds. It has 4 hdmi inputs and east to reach locations. Definitely pick this TV up at this price for a 4k you cannot go wrong.

An Exceptional 4K UHD LED TV for the Price!

I couldn't be more pleased with this Sceptre U505 4K UHD LED TV. As others have mentioned, the sound quality isn't that great but this was to be expected from a flat panel TV. One note about the sound: the defaults have the bass and treble set in the middle. If the bass is turned up and the treble down a bit, this improves the sound quality where it doesn't sound so tinny. Also, if SurroundMode is checked, this widens the sound and gives considerable improvement as well. As far as the display, let me just say the 4K UHD resolution on this Sceptre looks absolutely phenomenal! I also like the fact that two of the HDMI (as well as USB & coax) are located on the side panel in the back for easy access. I've seen reviews that the menu options are overly complicated, but I haven't found this to be the case at all. I had a bad experience with Walmart's shipping of this item. UPS tracking showed "in processing" for almost a week, think it never left the warehouse! However, after an online chat with a Walmart representative the shipping was finally corrected and I did receive a partial refund for the hassle, which was nice. Anyway, would highly recommend this Sceptre U505 4K UHD LED TV. It's an exceptional LED TV for the price! A+A+A+

Good quality, picture, sound, and price

Excellent TV, with Ultra High Definition, at 2160p and 4K Resolution. Priced at $280. The next one on the 4K UHD 50" category is priced $430; so this one is about 34% less expensive. But don' let the price miss lead you, You'll be getting a high quality TV. I compared the picture quality side by side with the Vizio, the Sharp and the Hisense and this Spectre was similar if not better than the rest. Features: It has 1 x Component/Composite Video, 3 x HDMI, 1 x Headphone, 1 x Optical Digital Audio, 1 x PC Audio In, 1 x RCA Audio L+R, 1 x RF (Coaxial), 1 x USB 2.0, 1 x VGA Speakers are pretty loud and sound quality is very good as well. They are rated at 20W, 10W per channel. Options for Stereo and Surround Sound. Not bad either one. I have played with both and actually some action movies sound better in Stereo while musical type of programs or drama movies sound better in Surround. Again, preference and know how to adjust.....

Great Picture!

I bought a 32" about a year ago and I love it,no problems whatsoever.I saw this set on sale at Walmart and jump on it.After reading some reviews about having to buy a separate soundbar,none was needed,in my case.The upscaling of over the air channels is terrific.

good tv for the price

Easy to purchase online and pick up in store. I used my Walmart savings dollars and got an even better deal on the tv. The picture is very sharp and great color. The volume is a little tinny so I bought a sound bar (Visio for $30 at Walmart). it made a huge difference. I would recommend this tv if you are looking for an inexpensive nice quality.

Perfect gaming tv

I bought this tv for gaming specifically and it's amazing. The 60 MHz refresh rate is great for gaming too as almost any game is frozen at 30 frames a second. Movies can seem a little off at times though. Overall I am super happy with this purchase.

Great picture , price over all a good deal . Just not the best sound bought sound bar now it rocks!!! :)
