Solid, Basic Monitor

Pros: This monitor is overall very nice. After adjusting the settings on the monitor and computer, the picture is bright and crisp. Colors show well and construction is solid. It comes with HDMI and VGA cables, which might save you a few bucks.

Cons: Speakers are terrible (but that's expected). If you're really looking for it you might notice the backlight seems a bit brighter toward the bottom of the screen. It doesn't bother me and I don't really notice it during normal use.

Other Thoughts: There are better monitors out there, but for the price it meets my needs perfectly.

great picture

Pros: Very nice looking monitor, the picture was perfect out of the box, my computer immediately recognized it and changed aspect ratio automatically. Stand is very stable for such a big screen.

Cons: Nothing really, much bigger then i thought it was going to be, but that's just my lack of knowledge on screen sizes.

Other Thoughts: i don't use the on-board speakers because this isn't 2001 and i have much better speakers already. They do suck but what are you expecting?

Great picture - low quality builtin speaker sound

Pros: Great picture for the price, loving the big 27" screen! (had a 21" Dell monitor beforehand) Easy installation - less than 1/2 hr (being cautious and including removing old monitor). Bought it on the Premier price so I'm still definitely happy with the purchase!

Cons: The builtin 2 watt speakers had a definite tinny metalic sound. I had read the previous reviews and thought I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to sound quality, but I just couldn't deal with the sound quality and reconnected a pair of desktop speakers I had on hand.

Other Thoughts: Came with VGA & HDMI cable (which I'm using), but the length on this is about 6' so keep in mind if you're needing to put tower under desk on the floor. Plastic construction around monitor and base, but felt solid.

Pleasantly Pleased

Pros: Brilliant colour depth, and wonderfully sharp edges. So far this monitor looks wonderful. Ordered two and I am currently dual-screening them on a GTX 760 super overclock with dual link DVI.

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: Not terribly fond of the annoying red blinking light when its off, but I'll live. Can't really classify it as a "complaint".

Good but...

Pros: Good price
Good picture

Cons: Base mount not removable. Comes with short cables.

Other Thoughts: Bought this for using with vesa mount. With the base arm attached looks weird. Not going to break out the hacksaw as will probably void warranty.

SCEPTRE E275W-1920 27"

Pros: Bright and clear to all edges. No dead pixels. Seems to tilt forward a little more than most monitors which was exactly what i needed. Base is solid with very little screen shake.

Cons: The only con i have is when the computer is off the power light on the front blinks on and off. No big deal.

Other Thoughts: Very good monitor at the on sale price.

I am EXTREMELY happy so far (3 days) about this monitor and at the price i got it at! (On NEWegg.com @ $169.99) This monitor is not only HUGE but the colors on here are vibrant and i can see everything from gaming to watching movies on here really clear. THANKS SCEPTER :)

Beautiful!

Pros: Beautiful image, great color saturation. I plugged it into the HDMI port of my high-end nVidia video card, and everything worked perfectly out-of-the-box. Very good value for the price.

Cons: The built-in speakers aren't the best sounding. But, I never expect built-in speakers to sound all that great, so I'm not taking any eggs off because of it.

Other Thoughts: I know that it's customary to write something about the controls, but I'm afraid that I can't. The only control that I've even touched is the on-off switch. Everything was perfect when I connected it to the machine, so there was no need at all for me to even try out the other controls.

Cons: Speaker sounds cheap (similar to an average cell phone speaker

Nice Monitor

Pros: Great monitor. well packaged, included HDMI and D-sub cables. Great price at $169.99 with free shipping.

Cons: Required a workstation cleanup, i.e. dust bunny herding and cable roundup. This situation added more work for me.
The speakers sound real tinnie (sp?) but what do you expect from full range 2" spekers.

Other Thoughts: I bought this monitor for my my mother (80yo) to upgrade her old 20" standard format monitor. I had to clean up her desk and surrounding area. 10 min. install and 1 hour cleanup, looks great (the station), but am pleased with everything now.

Great value

I decided it was time to let my monitor "grow up". I had a 22" that this monitor replaced. This has excellent picture quality, takes less power than the 22" to run and ‘fits‘ the area where it needs to go. I wouldn‘t recommend this monitor if you‘re getting it because it has built in speakers.

Looks Good But...

Pros: Excellent price on sale, $169.99. After reading online about the monitor, I found out that it rates as no.3 in model quality behind Samsung, that's a big plus. Has built in speakers that automatically play when using HDMI, a plus. Has HDMI Dual Link DIV-D, and VGA inputs, Another big plus. I like the black color, another plus. And that's all the eggs...4.
Newegg .com delivered on time as usual. NJ to VA in 2 days for free, can't complain about them, they are always fast and on time, at least for me, every time.

Cons: The only problem I have with the monitor is when connected to HDMI is black border of 1 inch on the sides and 3/4 inch at the top and bottom, hey I bought a 27 inch monitor not a 25 inch one. I had to connect it using the analog vga connector to get full screen real estate, in doing so I lost the audio on the built in speakers. Now I have to purchase a speaker cable to use the speakers, oh well I guess I will use them for center channel speakers and keep the 2.1 computer speaker for R & L sub to create an odd 4.1 speaker system that will require some fine tuning for proper balance between them. D@#n, more work and money to achieve perfection, but that's how I am.

Other Thoughts: I am an EET (Electrical Engineer Tech) you know a hardware engineer. I purchased this monitor for my 80 year old mother as an upgrade for her 17 inch (square, well almost square) monitor. I asked her for her opinion about it after I set it up, her response was "I have to get used to that big of a monitor first". So I'll have to wait to give a more in depth review of it in the future, so please stand by...

Better than my NEC monitors

Very nice black and color range. LDE/LCD panel is the same quality as Samsung or NEC. You can use these for graphic design or video editing with no problems. I Got them on newegg.com for only $199, great deal. Will be order some for the rest of the company.

Sceptre E275W

Pros: No stuck pixels, easy to use menus, stand is strong, nice color, good view angle. Comes with HDMI and VGA cables but not DVI cable.

Cons: Screen is a bit brighter on the bottom then fades darker towards the top, this is most noticeable with a white background like a spreadsheet, not a big deal to me but some may be bothered by it.

Pretty Good

I have had this monitor for a couple of weeks now, and overall I am fairly happy with it. The screen size is significantly larger than the laptop that I had before this, yet I can only see pixels if I get my face fairly close to the screen specifically looking for them. It is a fairly clean picture. I use this computer for gaming, specifically Guild Wars 2 so far, and the world is even more beautiful than what it was before on my laptop. The HDMI cord provided is fairly short, so the tower has to be really close by and on the left side (when looking at the screen) of the monitor. I appreciate that there are speakers built in for two reasons: I didn‘t have to immediately go out and buy speaks which would have added to my bill and I don‘t have to constantly wear the headphones that came free with my tower. The quality of the speakers are fairly mediocre though. I have music playing as I am typing this review and I almost want to switch to headphones because there is zero bass. The music also loses some quality when playing at high volumes and the vocals sound muffled at any volume, but like I said, at least it has something. The brightness and colors are a little different from my laptop which is a huge adjustment for me. When I am playing my game I like to have the brightness up quite a bit so that the colors are fully vibrant, however when doing other things I have to turn the brightness all the way down, otherwise I feel like my eyes are on fire. It may also be because I do not have a big enough desk as I should so I may be a little too close to the screen. Getting in contact with support was an issue for me. There wasn‘t anything seriously wrong, it was just I was using a VGA cable and not an HDMI cable to connect my tower and monitor so no sound was coming out. Originally I had emailed them about the issue, and they misinterpreted me and thought I had bought a TV, not a computer monitor. I replied saying the solution they gave will not work beca

skimped on cord lengths

The unit arrived on time in perfect condition. Only draw back are the cords a little too short on one end! Power, HDMI, and VGA cords should be about 3 feet longer in order to be useful. Had to use my previous cordage.
