Love this TV!

I just purchased this Sceptre 55' tv from walmart on line. It was shipped to the store in less than 4 days. The brightness of the screen shocked me, so beautiful! The price was outstanding. Not a smart tv, but it became a smart tv by easily connecting my xbox 360 to it for free! All the apps including internet can be connected by game system, just connect to your wifi-cable which is easy to do. Also I connected my computer to tv with VGA cord, and what i see on my computer comes on the screen, so much fun! I had to connect my computer to speakers because the computer becomes the master and the tv is the monitor, but no problem. So now i have a smart tv!! At little over $400!! , I see Utube, HULU, HBO go, and all the apps, through game system. The picture is outstanding! The best buy I ever made.

I bought this for black friday. My old sceptre is going on 10 years strong. This new 55 inch model is amazing. Comparable to my other high end tvs.

Exceeds Expectations

Just traded out an LG 55" that sells for over $1500 with the Sceptre 55". Watched both in the same place, on the same day. I actually like the Septre ($399 at Walmart) better. Pic & sound quality better then I had expected. Love the ease of setup & Roku interface. Outputs all good. Probably will get a soundbar to bump audio up a bit - but generally, these parents of a newborn are happy to save money this Christmas and feel good about a purchase that could have costed us $1k+ if I hadn‘t made the decision I did to go with this product.

Greatest TV for the price

Purchased TV from WalMart . Best picture I‘ve seen. Sound is not too bad considering speaker placement. Using Sony sound bar with optical sound output. Control of all aspects of the TV, picture, sound, etc.

Really Great Deal!

lot‘s of great features. easy to hook up the Wii, dvd etc! Best of all the children were a;mazed......what a treat for a family Christmas present and it got here really quick like ole Saint Nick!

Worth the price

I got this TV a few weeks ago, and it has been worth every penny. The picture is great, plenty of connections for whatever you might need to connect, and the menu is very easy to sift through with a few good auto-power off options. Keep in mind this does not come with any M6 screws for mounting on a wall. The top two screws are the typical size you would get with your wall mount packaging, but the bottom two are much deeper. You'll have to make a special trip to a home improvement store to get what you need. If you plan on using the stand, then this point is moot and you'll be set.

Awesome TV for the price

Well packaged with extra cardboard and straps around the outside of the TV box to prevent shipping damage. Picture quality is excellent. I recommend switching the DYNAMIC CONTRAST option ON for better picture quality during low-light conditions. I took away a star because of the sound. It can get VERY LOUD so no problem there, but the quality of the sound could be better when compared to other TV's in this size class. Not complaining too much about the sound though as this TV costs significantly less than the competition. An overall excellent TV with lots of video/audio input options, and sound output options. I feel this has slightly higher quality than their 50 inch model.

Watching basketball on ESPN through Dish Network HD is great on this TV. This is a great buy for a large HDTV.

We had a Sony previous to this one, when the Sony went out we purchased this TV and sure glad we did, as it has a great picture and sound. Was a breeze to set up.

great tv for the price

Just got done setting this tv up. This is the second Sceptre TV I have purchased in the last year. I now have a 50 and a 55 inch. Can‘t beat the price for the quality. The sound is super, and connected with antenna as well as ROKU and satellite.

FIRST: DIRECTV REMOTE CONTROL CODE. (not what directv dvr will tell you) On your directv remote 1. Switch the top slider on the directv remote contron ... to "TV" 2. Press and hold "select" and "mute" for 3 seconds, until it flashes 3. ENTER THE CODE FOR THIS TV THE CODE IS ....... 110000 4. Press and hold "select" and "mute" for 3 seconds, until it flashes (A SECOND TIME) 5. Enter the three digit number ...... 980 6. DONE, Slide the top device lever back to Directv and this tv's sound will work for the direcrtv remote. ============================== THE TV REVIEW: ALL BASED ON THE $399 PRICE FOR A 55" HDTV (so don't think you will get the same as a $1,500 and up 55" tv) It does not have a great picture, nor a bad. It is good, but the $399 price makes the value and quality excellent.

Great tv, a little loud

Bought a 50 inch in November 2013 and my only complaint is that even with the volume on 1, sometimes it‘s a bit loud

Great Picture!

We received our Sceptre 55" just a few days ago and it‘s great. I‘ve seen the Sceptre name online for years but this is my first purchase of one. Overall I‘m very satisfied. The assembly and setup was a breeze and I‘m very happy with the picture. We are using this unit as a monitor since we‘ve got a Home Theatre setup for sound and several video sources. While this particular model has limited features compared to many of the latest greatest TV‘s, they are not needed unless it‘s the only AV piece of equipment you have. If you‘re already set up with a Surround Sound receiver, game system(s), and/or Home Theatre PC you won‘t miss the extra options. The video from this television is excellent! Unless you‘re someone who‘s always going for the latest, greatest, most bells and whistles product you can buy (and if you are, you‘re not the one reading this, LOL) you can‘t go wrong with this unit. It‘s a great TV/Display and a great value.

Really great for the price

The picture has vivid colors and a very clear picture from all angles. It was easy to set up. You can't beat this for the price. I can't say how other features work other than the basic TV which is what I purchased it for. The only weakness is that the sound quality could be better. The sound is acceptable but I may add an external speaker to improve it.

This is the 1st time we have purchased a Sceptre product also our 1st time with 55" HDTV so far we are very pleased with the picture and sound quality.
