Excellent 4K TV

Checked reviews from various sources over the web and all were pleased with display and the majority had suggestions for better sound. Ordered it and upon arrival using the Walmart 3 day package deal - TV panel had an exceptional display. Tuned color, temp etc. just because I have a tuning DVD ( it was actually decent out of the box). Speaker performance was good and sufficient for someone who does not want to rattle their neighbors windows. This TV is setup lengthwise in a long rectangular room with vaulted ceiling and even the bass is fine here. Price is best yet and Walmart's return policy can't be beat. Inputs are plenty and the non-amp'd audio output was an unexpected bonus.

Worth your money

I got this TV delivered to my home yesterday and connected it right away and watched a movie.. it was outstanding. great picture and color I will recommend this to my friends..Except there was a black spot on the TV screen, looks like this is embedded in the screen..I have to talk to the company I ordered from..otherwise..satisfactory......

This is one of the few UHD 4K Flat Screens that actually support HDCP 2.2., for true 4K viewing. I had bought the Hisense H7 which does not...Live and learn. Also even though this UHD 4K is not a smart tv I enjoy more. I have 4K Fire Tv For my 4K content.

An Owner That is Tried and Tes

When I moved into my new home 9+ years ago, I purchased 4 Sceptre TVs. I had never heard of Sceptre before I bought these TVs. I bought 2 - 42" TVs & 2 - 23" TVs. I have had to replace one of the Sceptre TVs (a 23" one). It just died. I had put that one in our kitchen and it got a tremendous amount of use. One of the 42" ones was placed in our bedroom and is still going strong. It gets from 5-6 hours of viewing per day. You figure out the amount of enjoyable viewing this set has given us! When I saw an advertisement for the U505, a smart TV with 4K and 49", I thought that since I would like a smart TV and since I have had nothing but pleasurable viewing with my 9+ year old Sceptre, why not buy it. Based on my experience(s) with Sceptre, I would recommend to anyone to purchase this brand. It may not carry the so-called "prestige" of owning one of the more well known brands, but who cares about "prestige" when the performance of the Sceptre brand is every bit as good as those other brands and all of the same "bells and whistles" are available at considerably less. I say, "Kudos to Sceptre!! Keep up the good work!"

Great TV

Just like the title says Great TV.No problems with sound,like the other reviews I've read.Sounds very loud.It does take a few seconds to turn on not sure if it's suppose to work like that.

This is great TV has all the right ports and what a GREAT picture sound could be better. I bought a sound bar. You can afford one for how affordable this TV was

I loved the price online. Even though my local Walmart didn't have it, I was able to have it shipped to the store free and pickup was a breeze. I would recommend comparing online prices versus in store prices when shopping for big items like this.

This company is really trying to make a name for themselves. The tv came in and was very well protected with high quality foam which was the first plus. Pulled the tv out and is really a good looking piece and legs were easy to put on even if you don't have a single to since it comes with them. Turned the tv on and the picture quality is amazing. I have another 4k tv in the living room that's a name brand and this one is just as good if not better!

Great picture

Picture is excellent. Definitely needs a sound bar as is typical for thin tvs of this type. Had an issue with hdmi cables. Sound would not work on TV except through hdmi 4. The others work with DVD player and Chromecast. Minor irritant that I had to set up input 4 for main viewing.

I have been buying Sceptre tvs for many years and i had no problems out of any of them, please keep making this brand of tv.

Best Value for Money

This is my fourth Sceptre TV. The big difference now is that this is a 4k TV. It has 4HDMI ports, so I am able to connect my ROKU player, DVD player, Chromecast, and my new laptop. Everything worked well out of the box. The other thing to note is its weight, it is just around 20+ pounds, so it was so easy to install on my wall. Note that this is one of the lightest TV for this size, based on my personal comparison among several brands. Why would people buy more expensive TV's when a cheaper one would actually deliver the same goods? In theory, the more expensive ones are actually better, based on some "science". But the reality is that the ordinary human eyes won't notice the difference. So I stick with this brand.

We wanted a better picture, we got it! It isn't a smart tv, but we have gadgets that take care of that. This was a reasonable price

Good TV for the Price

Just got this TV delivered March 9. It arrived with the picture settings way off, which is typical for TVs. After adjustment it looks pretty good. The audio is poor. We‘ll probably have to add external speakers. We haven‘t figured out how to use the 2160p upscaling yet. It‘s not obvious. We bought this as a bedroom TV. For that purpose and a delivered price of $375, it‘s a good deal.

Unbelievable quality for the price

I have had Sceptre tvs in the past and now and all I can say is its like when Zenith first hit the market with their color tv UNBELIEVABLE

Excellent tv.

I am very happy with the purchase of the Sceptre television. Speaker system isn't great but the picture is and that's why I brought it. I already have Apple TV. I already have Roku so I am sent. I already had a sound system so I had no problems whatsoever. This is my second Sceptre television and if it lasts as well. I'm all smiles! I had no problems with the color of some people suggest maybe it was a pics of the factory but my picture was perfect right out-of-the-box no color tweaking necessary!
