Great tv, subpar sound

So, we have been having issues with our 47" LG tv. I bought a lemon and they wouldn't help. I talked to a friend and did some research. The best bang for our buck was this Sceptre 55" tv. I was hoping to get the 4k HDMI cables the same day I received the tv, but they are coming in today. I'm hoping to see the difference in quality with the cable change, which from what I understand it will. There are some noticeable bright spots on the tv screen, like the LED showing through. No dead pixels and the tv was delivered with care. The picture, compared to our other deadbeat tv, is beautiful. I need to do some more tweaking to get the best view possible with cable, movies and my Xbox One S. The sound...it sounds like they are talking into a bowl. Looks like I need to get a sound bar, as others have stated. It's not a deal breaker! I will check back and update this once I get the sound bar. The only other issue I have is the tv boot up. It takes longer than I'm used to. It's not a big deal, we still love this tv!

Fantastic tv

Bought this tv to add to my collection. I have 5 4k TV's in my mancave, now I have 6. Box was sturdy and tv was very well packed in box. Assembly was easy and the stand legs are sturdy. Now for the picture: All TV's look bad out of the box until you turn the sharpness down to zero. Brightness set at minus 10 from the middle, contrast at 100%, backlite 100%, color at +80 and color temp normal. Also use the "user" picture adjust setting. You must do this for every input setting. I use hdmi 1 for my computer monitor, and hdmi 2 for my blu ray player. My friends see my picture and start crying. Sure this tv does not have HDR but the picture still looks amazing for the price. The sound was tinny as expected but I bought a sony sound bar and now sound is amazing. You will not be sorry when you buy this tv.

I almost did not buy this television because of the prior reviews. This tv is awesome and has a great picture. I definitely recommend buying this tv.

Sceptre 55" Amazing TV

Size fit perfect in my living room, the picture is great. I was concerned by some reviews I read about volume, so first thing I did was turn it up . It is so loud had to turn it way down. Absolutely would re-buy this tv. Great TV for great price.

TV works great so far but shipping speed is fail

TV was easy to set up and a little tweaking of picture quality settings gives you a great picture. I have only had the t.v. for less than a week so I can't say for sure that the tv is durable. I will have to update you after a year or something. Shipping was not great. Walmart advertised 2 day delivery but the tv took 1 week to arrive hence the 4 star rating (in these modern times shipping rate and quality matters). For a little over 300 this tv with the picture quality and size, though not as great as some popular brands and not a smart tv, is a steal. I will advise anyone looking for a simple 55inch tv to get this tv along with Wal-Mart's 3 or 4 year warranty.

Great Buy!

The first one had broken screen., customer service processed return and ordered new one . Had new one in three days. Great buy for the money , happy with my purchase, no issues. Two weeks now will update any changes.

I love my TV

I love this T.V. When it came the screen was smashed but the Walmart customer service was amazing and had it picked up the next day and 2 day shipped me a new T.V. with no problem which I was happy that they did not give me any trouble with replacing it. When ordering a T.V online, one of my main concerns was that it would be damaged and be hard to get replaced. The T.V is amazing. I have it in my bedroom and I usually watch movies and Netflix on it and the picture is amazing. You do have to mess with the setting a little bit but once you get it to how you like you will defiantly enjoy this T.V and for the price !!!!! If you are thinking of buying this T.V do it !

The Cheapest you can get to 4K..

I did my hw everyone, so the research was done on this tv via online research and customer comments. I knew about the sound issue(the sound is not the best but easily fixable with a sound bar or bluetooth surround sound system) and I knew that the picture might not be as good as the big brands. BUT, this tv is amaze-balls! The 4k resolution will only appear if the source of your incoming signal puts out 4k media (REMEMBER THIS). I watched "House of Cards" on Netflix (4k content) and it was awesome, and 4k. I got this tv for under $400 with a 4 year insurance policy and I am super glad that i did my research and listened to the great ppl on the walmart.com website. Right now I have to install a wall mount, which if anyone has any tips, let me know. ha. Good luck everyone! *Dont complain if the tv is not a smart tv, duh, by a smart tv!

Excellent value but ...

For the price, this is an outstanding 4K UHD television. The picture is crisp and clear although the sound could be better (a bit tinny and hollow. If I can't improve it with internal adjustments, I understand that a sound bar takes care of that problem. If the sound problem did not exist, I would rate it at five stars.

Best TV around, can't be beat!!

First of all, the price, the cheapest price of any other TV with the same specs, like, 4K Ultra HD 2160p LED. Second, looks: this TV looks amazing, the beveled edges are so slim it's like it has no edges. Third, the quality is absolutely amazing and awesome, the performance is top notch and the picture is so good that you can see every zit, mole and scar on people's faces. I scoured the internet looking for another TV with these specs to see if I could find a better deal, we'll guess what? No go bro, this deal is virtually half the cost of the next best deal, you catch my drift? It cannot be beat, hands down the best bang for your buck. I owned a 50" Sceptre TV before this and when I bought it about 4 or 5 years ago it was a totally unknown brand name, I took a gamble and it paid off big time, but now Sceptre is gaining worldwide notoriety quickly, looks, quality, performance and price. What a deal, $340 including tax and free delivery. That is one awesome TV and deal from Walmart. I couldn't be more satisfied unless it came with a case of beer and snacks. Buy it, you won't regret it. Great Dealio bro.

Totally worth the $$$

At first I was skeptical because I had never heard of the Sceptre brand. However once I got the tv home and used it I was sold. The picture is clear and crisp. The sound is also surprisingly good.

I purchased my TV in November 2015 for $349 and I have no regrets! I had never heard of the brand but I took a chance and I am glad I did. The 4K Ultra HD is outstanding! Quality is exceptional and the price I got it for was amazing! I would highly recommend this TV to others.
