good tv for the money

this is a great tv for the price, the remote and menu options are a little generic compared to my vizio but great for someone like me who doesnt watch that much tv anyways, bring on football season!!!!

I looked up the ratings on this particular TV and was impressed and then my son told me he bought the same TV....just a coincidence for sure! We were watching a 'really old 15 inch TV, long before HD!! LOL I love this new TV....great picture, great color and it is big enough to see from across the room! LOL

Great TV for the money!

Worth every bit of $400! Not the best picture I've ever seen but still very good! You can't go wrong for the price. The best deal dollar for dollar out there. Very nice looking set also.

Great picture -- clear and good quality color

Only had the tv for a couple weeks, but so far, so good. Very pleased with the quality of the picture, sound, and features.

I RECEIVED THIS TV YESTERDAY. IT ARRIVED IN GOOD CONDITION AND VERY QUICKLY. IT WAS VERY EASY TO SET UP. EXCELLENT DIRECTIONS, ALL PARTS WERE INCLUDED, EVEN A SCREWDRIVER WHICH WAS A NICE TOUCH SO I DIDN‘T HAVE TO SEARCH FOR THE RIGHT SIZE. HAVE CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS AND HELPED ME REGISTER MY TV. I WAS NOT KEPT ON HOLD LIKE SOME COMPANIES DO. ALSO TALKED TO TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND THE TECHNICIAN WAS ABLE TO ANSWER MY QUESTION QUICKLY. THE PICTURE IS BEAUTIFUL AND ACTUALLY MUCH BETTER THEN THE PICTURE ON THE SAMSUNG THAT I AM REPLACING. SO FAR I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH EVERYTHING BUT THE VOLUME. IT IS HARD TO HEAR ON SOME OF THE STATIONS, BUT AM HOOKING A BOSE SYSTEM TO IT, SO THAT SHOULD TAKE CARE OF THE VOLUME ISSUE.

TV arrived in pristine condition, went right up on the wall and has been working great so far. I'm satisfied with the resolution. 55 inch for 399? What's not to like about that?

Good TV Great Customer Service

I bought this TV and was very happy with the picture and sound especially for the price. I had the TV just over 100 days when something happened to the power board and the TV would no longer turn on. Because I was past 90 days from the date of purchase the large retailer would not exchange the TV so I turned to the manufacture for help. The customer service that I received from SCEPTRE was nothing short of world class. After a quick call to a technician, they deemed that the TV needed to be returned for repair. They handled all the arrangements and even shipped me an empty box with packing material to use for the return. Within 24 hours of receipt, they had a replacement on its way back to me. My hat is off to SCEPTRE for standing behind their products.

Good Value

I was looking to get the best TV per dollar and this unit delivered. There are a few flaws that I point out in the attached images. One dead pixel and the backlight showing around the bezel. These two problems do not impact the normal viewing experience, but it‘s something to be aware of. The back light showing around the edges is probably normal. The dead pixel must have just slipped through QA/inspection or happened after the unit left the factory. Ether way its actually really hard to see. Overall l‘m pleased with the purchase . This image quality is just as good as much more expensive sets.

Worked fine right out of the box. I chose this brand because I bought a smaller Sceptre a couple of years ago and it has been trouble free.

Best TV ever

Granted, I am not a gamer and have never had a TV this big before, but it arrived fast, well packaged and I can't imagine a better quality TV for the price. Sound is perfect, picture is perfect. I've had it for over a month now, I use it with a Roku box and I really love this TV. Why would anyone pay more when you can get this TV for less and have perfect quality? SO glad I sprung for it. Great picture for the price

I am still checking out all of the features, but so far I am happy with everything, but the sound. I am sure it is due to the limited space to install quality speakers. If you are using a home theater system this is a mute topic. I am very happy with the picture quality for the price and love that so many portable devices can be connected to it.

Best TV for the money

I had a 50 inch Samsung smart tv and gave that to my son and purchased this set and couldn't be happier. The picture and sound is better than what I had. Don't get me wrong I liked my Samsung also but this is a better set for me. The price is what blows me away. $486.00 with tax for a 55 inch hd set is unreal. You can't go wrong.

Excellent quality for the price

I have bought Sceptre in the past and have always been very satisfied with their products. I bought a Sceptre 42" LCD from Costco about 8 years ago and it still has a great picture, wonderful sound and lots of extras PIP, loads of input/output ports etc. This Roku Ready Sceptre TV was ordered online and received about 5 days later directly from Sceptre HQ in S. California. It was packed very well and arrived in perfect condition. It was very easy to set up with the beautiful tempered and beveled glass base that came with it. It can also be easily hung on the wall with the correct bracket. This TV has a gorgeous picture but does lack a bit in the sound area. Sound is just "ok" and that's the only reason why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. I will be purchasing a Sceptre Sound bar to add to it....conveniently it can be controlled with the included Sceptre TV remote.

I've had this tv for about a week and I have no complaints. For the price it's great. The sound is great..the picture is not the clearest I've seen but it's good enough for me.

Customer Service is 'On Point'

When we finally got the accent wall painted, we set out to set up the TV. The only problem was that our base mount hole and the holes in the neck of the set were not properly aligned. Once I was able to send the picture of the misalignment to Customer Service everything was taken care of and we received the replacement base in short order. Since getting set up we have enjoyed countless hours of television viewing and at a great value. The quality of the picture and the sound is comparable to other brands in our opinion.
