For the Price, A GREAT BUY!

The TV is great for the price paid! I got it for 220.00 and the features & Quality it has are beyond expectations. The only down side to the TV is the remote, it has not worked properly since day one. I must repeatedly press buttons to get them to work. It is not very solid and feels like it will break soon with having to press the buttons so much.

pleased with all the tv has to offer and with customer service. had tv for 3 years, had a picture problem, returned it, they could not repair so received refund to get another new one. they paid for return shipping and handling. everything worked out great. brought another same brand. customer service searched and let me know where I could get same tv and it was now for less. I would recommend this tv and also to get service plan.

Way better than I expected

I‘ve had this TV now for over 6 months and it has been flawless. The picture is so vivid and bright. The contrast between colors is great. I love the fact that it can be swiveled also ( I did actually use my dremel tool to extended the slot that the TV swivels in before I put the stand on the TV and now my TV will Swivel 90º both directions ). My neighbor has a Samsung 40" TV he bought the same time I bought this Sceptre and he says my TV looks better than his does (I agree) and he paid $300 more than I did !!

Great picture/Great Price

I haven‘t had this TV but a week, but have enjoyed it thoroughly. Setup was easy. Had to call tech support at Dish to program the Sceptre to my Dish remote, but it was a universal Sony remote, so not a big deal. Others said the sound was tinny, but I didn‘t experience that problem. I‘m using it in my bedroom & it‘s not a huge room, but I like the 40" TV there. So far, no concerns. Hope it has staying power.

Fantastic tv, awesome price

My dad bought this tv for my son for Christmas. It has been in the box for 2 months unused because I‘ve had lots of trouble with the satellite company. I finally got the tv line in just days ago and got the tv mounted on the wall (bought a wall mounting kit from wal-mart) and this tv was purchased on black friday at a super low price and it has an even better picture than my $1,800 Samsung tv. So far we all love it and we love everything about it. I guess its not been used long enough to go in to lots of detail about it so maybe in a month or 2 I‘ll come back and update my review. So far tho its been great.

I just got over 30 new sceptre hd tv‘s for my hotel. The X405BV-FMQR is one type of the several I bought and I‘m very happy with it. Excellent picture no chirp or lag even with lower refresh rating. Most of all my guests love the larger tv‘s and say it‘s one of the best they have seen. An absolutely outstanding product at a very reasonable price.

Set up

Set up easily which is a big factor for this old gal. Looks like a great picture too.

Great tech for the price.

I needed to upgrade my pc monitor. I hate TVs but this one had everything I needed at a price I couldn‘t pass up, especially with the ~$20 extended warranty program. I‘m fairly happy with it. It is hooked up to my desktop computer and my laptop. Really blew my mind when I plugged in my HDTV antenna and it picked up 30 channels. My 28" Vizio was lucky to get 19 channels with the antenna in the exact spot. So I give it 5 stars for price durability, connectivity and functionality. As a bonus I know my data isn‘t being sold off. It‘s hard to find a TV that isn‘t a "Smart TV" these days. Oh yeah, the TV is very easy on the wallet being eco-friendly too. Plus the labels on the back. Brilliant! That is one of the unexpected wow features most manufactures forget to go for. Attention to every detail was put into this TV. I just wonder if firmware upgrades are possible.

Perfect TV.

Ordered it last day of 2015. Got it yesterday. Set it up picture is great. I did not need a different code to have my FIOS remote to work. A booklet would have been nice, but I figured out to attach the stand. Thank you for the screw driver. I looked to see where your brand came from USA, yah!!! I‘m very impressed.

TV/Monitor

I wanted a computer monitor but also I wanted a TV. So I got the sceptre tv with vga plugs for the computer. Worked out great. Great tv plus great computer monitor.

I will submit a more thorough review later. Just plugged the tv in and the picture is as good as the vizio tvs that I have. The sound is adequate for most shows. This is a very good value.

Very Impressed

My wife and I wanted to make a purchase for a new television that we could attach to our antenna on the roof since we decided to get rid of cable/satellite. The goal was to find an affordable yet easy to use and good quality picture unit. Well, we‘re very impressed. I looked around for several months before picking this one to fill that want. I read other reviews, but wanted to form my own opinion. I have to admit, I agree with the other great posts. We were not sure it would give us a good picture off the antenna, but were happily surprised we didn‘t have to bring it back to Wal-mart for whatever we thought might show up such as a poor picture, or low quality sound. Satisfied is another word that describes what we say about this TV.

Great so far

This TV was purchased as a replacement for our older TV in the family room. I will say it did not pick up as many cable stations as my previous TV so I got another cable box and was having a problem programming the universal remote. I contracted Scepter customer service and they gave me a suggestion to use the Sony codes which worked. Please consider adding this notation to your quick setup guide for this TV. I am very satisfied with the picture quality and ease of use so far on this TV.

A Great 40 ' Flat Screen TV!

We bought this online at Wal-Mart.com and it was delivered quickly (along with a matching Sceptre PC Monitor). It is a fine TV with our satellite provider and the remote is easy to use with very good tweaking programs for the unit.
