Awesome TV!!!

I have had this TV for a month and it is great. My old TV was 8 years old and it was time for a new one. This TV had all the features I wanted at a great price. I compared the specs with some other name brand TVs and they were the same or better. This specific TV wasn‘t as widely available for some reason but I am very happy with the purchase.

Good tv for the money. Good picture sound is ok, but have a system so this is no problem.

Good TV

A good solid TV. The seller shipped a 60hz version instead of the 120hz version. Fortunately the price was still good enough that I didn't much care. The sound on the TV, as would be expected with flat screen speakers, is a little tinny. The bass of explosions and voices really doesn't come through well. I highly recommend a speaker bar or surround sound system.

This TV has been amazing for me

This TV has been amazing for me. I have had it for a few months now and I am really thrilled with it. The picture quality is amazing. A few things about it to warn, the base is pretty wide, but there's no bottom of it so it's tough to put it on anything other than a flat surface like a table. I was hoping to rest it on my receiver (it's in a secondary bedroom and it's an old receiver I'm not too concerned if it breaks) but it was just a tad too unstable so I couldn't. Also the remote is horrible...there's really no other way to say it. It's cheap and I'd recommend using another remote. Really any other remote. But for the basics it does work, I can't really complain except I use Harmony remotes so I'm sort of a snob. The refresh is great I don't see any artifacts or anything, there is not much heat given off either. Admittedly I have not tried any of the fine tuning of the picture (if it even offers that) I got this for the bedroom where I watch the occasional movie or game. But for the price...I couldn't be happier. Thanks Sceptre!

Sceptre has done it!

Having owned brands like sharp, westing house, LG and Samsung, I have to say, sceptre is definitely up there with these brands! Beautiful and vivid image, good quality build! And price is the best part! buy it!!

Sound!

At first didn't like. After a week it was much better. But the sound awful. Let sound go for about two weeks. Going through looking at more information. Wondered what user srs was. That was the key to the sound! U want to put user srs the sound is great for us now. Hope this helps!

I have nothing to complain about. Everything is just as I was hoping and came right on time. Everything works just like it was supposed to and I haven't had any problems at all. It also looks really good and is really slim.

Great value TV for the price!

Sceptre makes great TV's that surpass every other manufacturer in their class. When you compare the price, I could have bought 2 more Sceptres for the amount I spent on XXX brand. I have two Sceptre's in my house and I can tell you the picture is beautiful. This TV has an LED backlit screen and in my honest opinion this definitely is the way to go (LED is similar to LCD but it is more energy efficient and lasts longer). Now add in that this TV can directly connect to a ROKU stick and I'm sold. Thanks to Amazon.com, and Sceptre, HDTVs have never been more affordable.

Beautiful. clear picture

I purchased this only days ago after hours research of TV monitors of near or same size. I‘m extremely pleased with this 50 incher so far. Other than adding my own powered speakers I‘ve had no problems. Set up was extremely easy and I was viewing within 10 minutes. The "in" case speakers are okay for a smaller rooms I suppose but not for big boom sound or vocal clarity over background music or sound effects from movies and laugh tracks. (just supposing about the comedy TV shows since I don‘t do local TV, or cable, or network or programming period!!)

Great value TV

Great value TV. Good price. Colors are overall very good. Blacks aren't quite dark enough. Super light unit and I am able to hulk it around myself; this is an extra TV for my man cave.

Great TV for the money

You can't go wrong getting this tv. All I did was set it up and adjusted the sound. The picture quality is great. The sound is not the best. If you are just watching tv on it the sound is fine. When you go to watch an action movie the sound is not the best. The remote for it, you have to be directly inline with the tv. It does not work well from the side. Over all this tv is great. I would buy another one.

Great value for the price!

Screen is very clear and sharp. Sound seems fine though a little on the quiet side. The user interface for changing inputs is a little counter intuitive. On most TVs pressing input multiple times changes the selection, this requires hitting up and down arrows after selecting input and then hitting enter. Had one issue with shipping, but was handled very well once customer service was informed, though the on-line chat was not so helpful. Overall, very happy with our purchase.

GREAT TV For The Price

I am satisfied with this tv, and as mentioned by others, the only thing i don't like about the tv is the volume. If you buy this TV you will definitely need some other audio output to fully enjoy the picture.

Great TV for the price

Ordered it late Monday night, TV was at my door by noon on Wednesday. The picture quality is great, as mentioned in other reviews, the sound is not the best. But I planned on hooking up to an external sound system anyway so it's not really an issue for me. I'm very pleased with it so far, but it's only been 2 weeks with it hooked up.
