Don't believe a salesman when he says 1080p's isn't much difference than 790p's on a 32" tv. There is a big difference when you compare the picture of the two. Turn the energy saving picture mode off and you'll see a TV picture as bright as, or even better than the major brand name tv's. The sound is good for in a kitchen or bedroom, adding an inexpensive sound bar in a large living room might be necessary.
